Hopefully you have been making some time for a bit of practice. Focus on chipping and putting. Everyone wants the driver buts chipping and putting that will keep you in the game. 18.01.2022 Pitching TIP for the Left and Right Handed Now is the perfect time to polish up your PITCHING! Start with a hybrid and focus on technique. Look at how your feet are positioned and how your hands are holding the club. Go for a quarter backswing and short follow through. Practice! Practice! Practice! ... Once youve got the hang of this. Try a club with more loft such as a Sand Iron. Do the same technique. Practice! Practice! Practice! 18.01.2022 How's your Confidence? I want to give you some tips to do when you're having a rough patch and not performing well. Start with your Putter. Work on small putts with a small backswing and small follow through. Then move into a small Chip shot and then your woods. Once you have a few good shots you will find your confidence starting to lift and you will start playing better. ... Remember to take a step back when you're getting flustered and hitting bad shots. You will find you will need to adjust your backswing to the club you are chipping with. Some clubs will require a shorter backswing. Just adjust as necessary. I’ve got some tips that the good player use that you can easily implement into your game. Tip - tee the ball lower. Don’t let the ball sit above the club. Tip- when you swing, look in front of the ball. It will help you turn through the ball better and cause the ball to run further which in turn will help you enjoy the game better.... 13.01.2022 Are you a leftie hooking the ball? Or a beginner/junior? Im big on grip! (If you havent noticed yet ) Your grip is the most common cause of concerns and once you make that adjustment most people see a speedy improvement. Hooking generally occurs when something is wrong with your grip. Have a look at your grip. If your top hand is showing 4 knuckles and your other sits way under, it will close the face for you causing you to hook. ... Beginners/juniors will find a moulded grip to be your best friend while learning to help establish good grip habits m the beginning. Good Golfing!

Is it your club handle moving when you putt or are you flicking your wrists? 12.01.2022 Some people top the golf ball when its cold out. That can be because your hands are cold and get too tight on the club. Another tip that can help is your 7 Wood on the fairway. When you have tight lie's on the course, which is common this time of year, if you use your 7 Wood you will find you'll get a bit of air which will help with your power. Also check your grip. Ig youre not gripping the club correctly, when you take the club back, you wont be lifting it into the air pro...perly and thats a big cause for topping. I'd love to know if this is an issue you face playing in winter?

08.01.2022 Pace of the Swing! Get out your 7 iron and find YOUR rhythm with a half swing. Practice this before moving into a 3/4 golf swing. While were locked down (victorians) practice this drill to develop a smooth swing. Well hopefully be out playing golf again very soon and you will want to have been practicing your fundamentals.... Good golfing!

08.01.2022 Are you still having trouble with SLICING? Ive got a tip for you that I have demonstrated in my lessons that has really helped. Using your 7 iron close the face of the club in - watch my demonstration. This is the key!... Make sure the face remains turned inwards even as you swing. You will need a stronger grip here. Pull the right foot back slightly (for the right handed player) and put your swing on it. You will find the ball will come off the club face so much better, you will get better ball flight and you will feel good about the shot which we all want! Give this a try and let me know if it helps you. Ill follow up with a video for the left handed player also. Good golfing!

08.01.2022 Slicing is one of the most common concerns i see when i do lessons. Its a very simple fix. You need to start with a 7 Iron. As always look at your grip. Are you gripping too tightly? Check the positioning of your feet - the ball is usually too far forward in your stance. Are your shoulders too open? Is your right arm too straight?... Jeff demonstrates some very simple adjustments to your swing that will stop that slicing of the ball. Let me know if this helps you!

07.01.2022 Are your kids interested in starting up golf? Now is the time to get them started. Start with a 6 or 7 iron. Just need the one club if they’re getting started but it MUST have a flexible shaft. Go with an easy 10 finger grip and encourage them to play easy - no need for big powerful shots. ... The key is allow them to enjoy it. Don’t put any pressure, let them enjoy the game. Good golfing

06.01.2022 The Forward Swing. This is critical to being a good golfer. Here is a drill you can practice anywhere. When Im doing lessons I find some people forget over time to move their hips. Hips need to MOVE if you want to get POWER! And lets be honest no one is going to say they dont want power in their golf swing. If youve got a practice stick or a broom handy, practice this drill over and over. This simple drill will help with the basic fundamentals to being a lifelong very go...od golf player. This drill is easy to do indoors with a simple kitchen wooden spoon. Now do your hips sway to the side when you swing? Lean up against a wall or something to keep yourself aligned and steady. once You become familiar with how it should feel, you can move onto your club. ... This drill is an excellent exercise to help you pop the ball in the air Better and start to look like a golfer. How have you been spending lockdown?

05.01.2022 How is your ALIGNMENT? Here are my tips for adjusting your alignment that is essential to becoming an exceptionally good golfer. Aim your club face at the target! I like to place an object next to the ball and aim at that. Helps until I have got the hang of it. Make sure your feet are going in the same direction. Take a video of yourself or have someone help to make sure youre getting it right. Shoulders need to be fairly square. Then put your swing on it! As always, practic...e practice practice! Share this with someone who needs a little help with their alignment!
