12.01.2022 Very worthwhile discussion for any teachers out there. Listened to this yesterday and it reiterated many of the ideals here at Boys Read. - The building of relationships with our students is so important for both happiness and success. - Kids should be encouraged to try and find and discover their own talents and passions. Another interesting point was that in Finland, there is a separate word for meaningful play that children participate in. 'Leikkia' is different from 'play...ing' rugby or 'playing' tennis, it is a special word that relates purely to children. "They come with Leikkia in their pockets and in their minds." If you've got time over the weekend, I recommend tuning in.
