25.01.2022 Hello Golfers Well what a day. Perfect golfing conditions on a cracking course for the start of the Men's club Championships. So many close games with many coming down to the last and some not so. As you can see by the the images below we now have our finalists for each grade. Both A & B Grade finales are to be played next Saturday over 36 holes along with the C grade final to be played over 18 Holes. Good luck to all those who have made the finals. Whilst those who got knock...ed out early and a few extra they happily played a stableford scroungers round in the afternoon with the added benefit of playing of the Ladies Tee boxes to see how tough this course is. Winner takes all was The Skipper with 37pts. The ladies played for the Club Foursomes championships in the afternoon as well with 8 Teams having a crack for the title. 25.01.2022 Hi Golfers, Members and Sponsors. WARNING WARNING It appears that there maybe someone posing on the golf clubs behalf to produce beer coasters with our sponsors on them. The club has not endorsed this in any way so please if you get a call DO NOT take the deal on offer (a little fishy).... The Skipper

23.01.2022 Hello Golfers Well that is it, what a season and what a way to finish the year. Firstly thank you to The Boyup Brook Co op for being the sponsor for our closing day. Everyone who played went home with a prize. 40 players hit the fairways to play in a 4 Person Ambrose. Plenty of good and not so good shots were played but in the end it was about having some fun on the last day. The day started with a champagne breakfast followed by the presentation of trophies and awards. Then ...in between this and the golf we held our AGM and we thank all those who have put theirs hands up for a position next year. The club is in a good position going into next year. Then came the golf. Congratulations goes to everyone who played, as i stated earlier everyone went home a winner and along with this we had a Novelty on every hole, so again thank you to the staff and board at the Co op. The best result for the day was the group of Sue Fairbrass/Desrae Lee Steere/Kevin Connor/Simon Purse 55 Gross 41.5 Nett all teams were able to use the big band hence some of the scores. See you all next year till then Happy Hacking The Skipper

B Grade R Dorrington aka The one armed Warrior Vs B Fairbrass aka The Hobby Farmer. This should go down to the wire as both these grades will be playing the finals over 36 holes C Grade P Sanderson Vs J Aird This final to be played over 18 holes with both players recently playing well Good Luck to all in the finals Dinner this week is being put together by Denise Twigg and i did here her say it may be a roasting, unsure if she is going to go off or that is what is for dinner. 10.01.2022 Hello Golfers Thanks this week to Gavin Shepherd from Dyson Jones for sponsoring and for being yet another long time sponsor of our club, greatly appreciated. With possibility of rain and with Ladies open day on the day before, those who dissolve in water failed to appear for golf on Saturday. We had 18 men and 5 ladies tee off in windy sunny conditions. There was couple of showers through the afternoon and a little hail at one point, but not to be deterred everyone finished.... still the course is looking great and playing tough. We all played Par with the men also playing for the GB Mitchell Board trophy. Finally the men had a clean sweep with some very good scores. Again thanks to our sponsor for your support Happy Hacking The Skipper

09.01.2022 Harley Transport Pty Ltd sponsored our day yesterday and whilst we thank them for their continued support we also appreciate that both Nathan and Jamie came along and had a crack. Sounds like they both enjoyed the day. With the weather being absolutely georgeous and still the course is looking a million bucks lush green you would expect there to be some really good scores. There was 18 Men and 8 Ladies tackle these conditions. I suspect the pressure of being the stand in Capt...ain may have got to one bloke by the looks of his score, but having said that i appreciate the fact that he stood in for me in my adsence. So to the results and it is good to see the blokes are finally getting amongst the prizes. 08.01.2022 Hello Golfers With the possibility of rain at the start of play which may have kept those who melt in the rain away, oh how wrong they where. There was a misty shower for about 10 minutes before play started and once The skipper stood upon his pedestal to inform those in attendance to state of play for the day the rain ceased and the golf was played in near ideal conditions, still there are those who are finding the course whilst in tip top condition very demanding and a mino...rity excelling with the game. This week we thank Colin & Lisa from C & L Mechanical for their continued support of our club and by sponsoring the prizes for the day. We had 15 Men and 8 Ladies set out for a fun afternoon of Golf The results The Winner - Grant Downing +6 Runner up - Merridee Millington +1 C/B 3rd - Luke Dynan +1 Ladies Trophy - Sue Fairbrass -1 Novelties #3 NP Wendy Tuckett #6 Longest Putt Georgina Fairbrass #12 NP Naomi Dorrington #15 Longest Putt Brad Fairbrass Once again thank you to C & L Mechanical for without sponsors like you and all the others this season, clubs like ours would not exist and we appreciate not only what you do for the club but also the community. On a side note all that needs saying is thank god for the bloke who invented ride on golf carts hey Micheal Wallace!!!! Happy Hacking The Skipper

08.01.2022 Hello Golfers Well what a glorious day for golf yesterday. The club would like to thank BBFS for sponsoring a second weekend this year as our intended sponsor was unable to help. We had 14 Men and 3 Ladies play a Russian 4BBB which was a first for the club. This lead to some very interesting scores. The course should still be in reasonable condition for the closing day next week. Plenty of roll to be had just have to get it over the top of the capeweed. So to the results Winn...ers Matthew Blechynden/Rance Dorrington 55pts Runners Up The always bridesmaid Ian Tweedie/Sue Fairbrass 51pts Next weeks potential Winners Grant Downing/Alan Piper 19pts Some good individual scores Foo 38 pts Tweeds 35pts Grunta 32pts Novelties #3 NP one for the club #6 NP The Skipper #9 Longest Putt Naomi Dorrington #10 Best 3rd Ladies Sue Fairbrass #10 Best 3rd Men Peter House #12 NP Ian Tweedie #15 NP Ian Tweedie #18 Ladies long drive Naomi Dorrington So with that the end in nigh for the golf season with next weekend being the Wind Up/Awards/AGM with a fun afternoon of Ambroze to complete the season.
