15.01.2022 Where do I start.... One of the major downfalls of this job, is all of you. I don't mean that in a bad way. It's because you all become our friends, some more than others. Some of you are in our lives socially as well as through work, which means we all become very close.....even become family. So when one of our 'family' is taken from us, it affects us too. A lot of the time we get one of those dredded phone calls...." there's been an accident", and sometimes it's a wife or... brother that calls to tell us someone has passed away. I for one hate these days. You guys and girls are family to us, so please look out for each other and we will do the same. Life is short, life is precious....stay safe, stay well. Xx See more

15.01.2022 Ok time for a rant. We have just received our latest edition of Big Rigs....funnily enough dated 17th April. On page 5 there is an article about 'Remote WA roadhouse needing support'. Well in there it states, and I quote " We've only got one regional roadhouse on the Great Northern Highway and we need it open". I get that this is an eastern states publication BUT they need to get their information correct before they print it. The Great Northern Highway starts in Perth and e...nds in Wyndham in our state's North, covering a distance of 3200kms. Off the top of my head there are at LEAST 20 roadhouses on this stretch of road, all of whom are of equal importance, and here to support our truckies. We here at BP Wubin have remained open and supporting our truck drivers since the onset of COVID 19, providing them with free clean showers and toilets. Home cooked meals, free tea/coffee etc. Whilst trying our best to keep things clean and disinfected, and keeping our dining room open (with social distancing) , for their comfort and fatigue management . My point is that there is not '1' roadhouse on this road that needs to be open, we all do and all of the roadhouses are trying their best, to accomplish this.
