19.01.2022 Free childcare will be coming to an end on 12th July 2020. From 13th July 2020 the childcare system will be returning to the way it was before covid-19 with childcare being means tested. To be eligible for the childcare rebate you must have lodged your 2019 tax return by 30th June 2020. 03.01.2022 Tax Time is here and it is also the time tax scams start to circulate. Here are some tips from the Australian Taxation Office to be aware of to protect yourself. The ATO will never:... threaten you with immediate arrest ask you to pay money to receive a refund or payment from us ask you to pay a debt via iTunes vouchers, or pre-paid credit card or store gift cards ask you to provide personal information, such as your tax file number (TFN) or credit card number, via email or SMS ask you to pay money into a personal bank account direct you to download files from the internet, or open attachments in unsolicited emails. Please share this with your family and friends as well as elderly neighbours so they won't be caught out.
