25.01.2022 P&C CABARITA BEACH BOWLS AND SPORTS CLUB - EASTER RAFFLE We have good news! We have set the date for the draw - Tuesday 30 June at 1.30pm. It will be a closed draw and conducted by 3 P&C and 3 Club representatives. The winners will be notified by phone and a list of winners will be published on SkoolBag and the P&C Facebook and Club Facebook pages.... There are 23 great prizes up for grabs! Student prizes for the most tickets sold and the class pizza lunch is still happening! Please bring in your ticket books, sold or unsold, (you can still sell tickets!) to the school office by Wednesday 24 June. Many thanks Nadia Lovelight P&C Fundraising Coordinator

22.01.2022 If your child has lost their jumper or just grown out of their warm navy pants, you can still get what you need at the school Uniform shop. The shop is open 8.45 -9.15am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents are allowed to enter to school grounds and go straight to the Uniform shop without any special permissions but please don’t wander around the school grounds while you are there! Pic: New tracksuit pants, with pockets, available in most sizes.

20.01.2022 The school has asked us to share this: Learning Packs - Don’t forget to come and collect you learning packs today, Wednesday 29th April. Please see below for times. To assist with students' learning through Microsoft Teams, teachers have compiled learning resource packs for each student. These contain hard copies of some of the activities students need to complete each week and resources such as dice or game boards to support your child's learning.... On days that your child/ren attend school throughout Term 2 they will need to bring their learning pack and any devices that have been borrowed from the school. Children will then bring these items home at the end of the day to use the next day. Learning Packs will be available for collection on Wednesday 29 April. Collection Times: Please try to adhere to these times to reduce traffic congestion and ensure everyone's safety. 09:00 - 10:30 Dolphins 10:30 - 12:00 Whales 12:00 - 01:30 Stingrays 01:30 - 03:00 Sharks Collection practices to minimise contact: Remain in your car at all times Please have your child/ren's name on a large piece of paper on the dashboard of your car. Enter via the Tweed Coast Road lay away and proceed to the second parking bay Enter this area to drive through Proceed to the appropriate alphabetical table where a staff member will gather your child/ren's pack Lower your front passenger window for the staff member to deliver your learning pack/s Have a wonderful time exploring your child's learning during the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.

19.01.2022 School is still on in NSW so far, at least for parents who want to send their children. So, if your child is going to school tomorrow, please consider sending their Easter school raffle book back (preferably sold). None of us know how long they’ll be there! Stay safe everyone.

19.01.2022 It’s Welcome Back week for all the students who’ve been homeschooling. The P&C is still ticking along and would love it if everyone could return their raffle ticket books this week. Obviously the draw has been postponed but the raffle will still happen. We’ll let you know when as soon as we can.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone, this is an URGENT call out for canteen volunteers tomorrow (Friday). Our canteen manger Deb will be trying to deal with 100 or more lunch orders ALONE tomorrow unless someone is able to come and help- even for an hour or two. Please comment below if you can help, or contact Deb directly on 0477 274 669. Unfortunately we can’t have small children in the canteen so if you are also caring for a child, this won’t work for you. Thanks in anticipation!

17.01.2022 NEED A SPORTS SHIRT FOR THE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL? Then you’re in luck because the wonderful Jess will be opening the uniform shop early tomorrow at 8.30AM so you can run in and grab one. Usually, the uniform shop is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8.45am to 9.15am. Due to COVID-19 restrictions access to the uniform shop (only if you are well) is via the main front gate, only one customer (besides the student) in the shop at all times. If the uniform shop is occupied then please be seated on the silver seat outside the shop and respect social distancing. Sanitise your hands upon entry and complete the COVID-19 form which will be provided.

14.01.2022 CALL OUT FOR CANTEEN VOLUNTEERS - tomorrow! Hi everyone Fridays are crazy in the canteen and tomorrow there will just not be enough hands on deck to do the work. If you would be able to help between 11-2 tomorrow (Friday 20 Nov), we’d be very grateful. ... No previous experience necessary. Please give our lovely Canteen Manager Deb a call if you can help. Her number is 0477274669. Unfortunately, because it’s a food prep area, we can’t have volunteers who are also looking after small children as well.

12.01.2022 Can you help the P&C for 1/2 hour a week? Hi everyone. The P&C has been pretty quiet lately given the craziness of the year, but you should know that many committed members continue to work behind the scenes - including in managing the school uniform shop and the canteen. One of our fabulous volunteers in now unable to work in our uniform shop every Tuesday morning. We are open between 8.45 and 9.15 and just need someone who can regularly come during those times and serve in ...the shop. It’s all very straightforward but training will be provided. If you have a child (or know of a child/family) who is eligible for Kindergarten in 2021 (turning 5 years of age before 31st July 2021) then please contact our school to begin the enrolment process. ... We look forward to supporting your child as they transition into ‘Big School’. Mr Gurney (K-2 Assistant Principal)

09.01.2022 HOW IMPORTANT IS A SCHOOL P&C TO YOU? Tonight at 6.30pm at the school library is the Annual General Meeting for the P&C. All Executive positions will be vacated and nominations sought. A number of volunteers who have served for many years, including myself, will not be putting themselves forward again. So now is the time for you to consider if you might be able to give some time for this great organisation. Trust me, your children will be very grateful.... If the positions are not filled, it is possible that there will be no P&C. This means no canteen, no Uniform shop, no school discos, no Mother's Day and Father's Day stalls and fewer resources for your children and their school. At the very least, please come to the meeting. Hear about what we do and think about how you could help.

08.01.2022 Don’t forget that the Canteen is open today and tomorrow. Lunch orders need to be in by 9am! There’s no breakfast and limited recess menu but full menu for orders.
