23.01.2022 Workout Challenge Every Second Monday @ 5pm ill be posting a BPX Fitness Challenge To kick off the first Challenge, a nice simple Sprint challenge on everyones favourite machine! (well, mine anyways)... 1 KM SKI ERG FOR TIME Rules: - No Standard of Movement for this one. Just rip into 1 km on the Ski Erg at whatever Damper Level you choose - One Female and One Male winner - Must post a picture of your time from the monitor like the one ive attached here - Set the Monitor up for 1000m countdown so the time will stop when it reaches 0m and you can take the photo Prize: - The prize will be 1 Free PT session for each winner whether you are a member of UFC GYM or a non-member. - One BPX T-Shirt or Singlet Deadline: 12pm Wednesday April 17th Get Skiing team! I’ve personally set a goal to read this at the start of every week to get my mindset in the right frame to smash the week ahead!! Check out the list below. Read it. Absorb it but most importantly, APPLY IT! Mental training at the beginning of the week can set you up to achieve small victories in the week that follows! Build Lean Muscle Mass through progressive strength exercises that include compound barbell lifts - Back Squats, Deadlifts, Shoulder Presses,etc - and accessory functional strength exercises! Shred weight with a variety of conditioning workouts that include Bodyweight movements, Rowing, Running and a whole range of functional conditioning movements!... With the 5km Urban Sprint just under 4 weeks away, im posting some Running Conditioning workouts to help get you ready for the 5km race You can either use a Treadmill at the gym, or your local park/streets using a timer/tracker on your phone... A. 15 Minute Running Conditioning 1 minute Run @ 75% RPE 1.5 Minute Walk - 6 Rounds total B. 15 Minute Running Conditioning 1 minute Walk 1 minute Run @ 60% RPE 1 minute Walk 1 minute Run @ 70% RPE 1 minute Walk 1 minute Run @ 75% RPE 1 minute Walk 1 minute Run @ 80% RPE 1 minute Walk 1 minute run @ 85% RPE 1 minute Walk 1 minute run @ 90% RPE 3 minute Walk (RPE = Rate of Perceived Exertion is a measure of Intensity; go by feel on what your maximum exertion level would be and record the Levels you run on if you are using a Treadmill) C. 2.5km Run For Time 2 minute Walk 2.5km Run 2 minute Walk More Running Conditioning Workouts released next Monday to help us build to our 5km run. Prizes for best male and female times: PT Session BPX Gym Pack 2 Weeks Online Programming and Coaching $50 The Wod Life Gift Voucher MOVEMENT STANDARDS: Step Overs: - must be holding 2 Dumbbells - no need to stand tall at top of box - alternate leading leg stepping onto box Hang Clean & Press - single Dumbbell - can clean the DB from knees or higher to shoulder - must lock out the press overhead from shoulder - can spread the reps over either arm however you see fit Double Unders - each round is completed with 60-90-120 Double Under reps. - if you can’t do Double Unders, you can complete each round with 120-180-240 Single Skips Building community through fitness! 06.01.2022 BPX STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM-May 13 Hey Everyone! Im launching a program to help take your training to a new level ... Its a comprehensive 8 week S & C Program: * Strength - Compound barbell exercises & accessory movements * Conditioning - Building your cardio engine * Calisthenics - Workouts using only your bodyweight * Odd Object Conditioning - Training your body in all planes of motion to train your core stabilisers and body in non-traditional movement patterns * Bulletproofing - Protect your vital joints and develop both mobility and stability to protect them through your training The Program will be a progressive build over 2 x 4 week Blocks whereby each day will be dedicated to a particular compound lift: eg Mondays - Deadlifts Tuesdays - Push Press Wednesdays - Back Squat etc.. Each day will have the following format: Warm Up - 10-15 mins Strength - 20-30mins Conditioning - 5-20mins Options for the program are: 1. Online - 5 day program sent every Friday for the following week 2. One Face-to-Face Session + 5 day program - small group session (capped at 4) coached by me plus the program to follow in your own time This is open to Members and Non-Members of UFC GYM Ill be releasing some more information with videos on some of the movements over the next couple of weeks before it launches on May 13. For a weekly fee you will get: Unlimited PT Sessions each week BPX Training Pack Daily Calorie Intake Calculation based on your goals Assistance in Meal Planning Weekly Training Scheduling & Weekly Check ins Mindset Coaching How does it work? Each week ill be posting daily time slots for participants to book into Each session will be capped at 4 people A Timetable will be set up describing what the style of each class will be. EG: Monday 6am: Strength Session Tuesday 7am: Conditioning Session Wednesday 6am: Strength & Conditioning Session Thursday 5am: Cardio Session Your Daily Calorie intake requirement will be calculated to assist you in reaching your personal fitness goals over the 8 weeks Assistance in Meal Planning will be provided to give you the best advice in your Nutrition You will have access to a closed group online community to help you further with Training, Nutrition & Mindest Tips while sharing your traingin experience with others This will be open to Members and Non-Members of UFC GYM. 04.01.2022 BPX 8 WEEK STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM LEG EXERCISES The Strength Component of each day on my S & C Program begins with a Compound Lift followed by Accessory Exercises to help build your overall strength aswell as improve on your compounds (Deadlifts, Squats, etc )... This clip showcases a few examples of Exercises focusing on Leg Strength and development A. DEFICIT DEADLIFT - Increase your deadlift range of motion to help build on your posterior chain strength and your Conventional Deadlift B. CLOSE STANCE 1 & 1/2 GOBLET SQUATS - Heel raised close stance goblet squats shift the focus on your squats into your Quads while adding the half squat rep in between gives the Glutes some extra work to do making this movement a great strength builder in your anterior and posterior muscles of the legs! C. KB SUITCASE LUNGES - Yes, we all cringe at lunges! But you can’t beat them for overall leg strength development! Adding the extra stress load with Kettlebells in suitcase position just adds that extra bit of spice on your legs to work them harder and make lunges that much more enjoyable! My next intake for the BPX 8 Week Strength & Conditioning Program begins on July 15. 8 weeks of a structured progressive program to increase your lean muscle mass, reduce body fat & develop your overall general fitness!
