10.01.2022 CURRENT STATUS OF HOME BUYER GRANTS/SCHEMES For the last 15 years or so in NSW there have been a range of schemes available for new home buyers from the state government mostly stamp duty related. They tend to change every few years so it can be hard to keep up with which grants are current and what their rules are. So, I will attempt to simplify it for you.

03.01.2022 If you are thinking about selling at auction read this article -http://www.news.com.au//n/a1a6bf6700b32cab882ed1f0c24a555c - along with the following:

03.01.2022 An interesting app for Agents that allows for purchasers at an auction to pay the deposit in real time. With few people having cheque books these days paying the deposit for an auction purchase has become somewhat difficult with potential purchasers having to either: 1. Transfer funds to the agent's trust account before the auction (which ties up your money until it is transferred back should you miss out at auction); 2. Obtain a bank cheque for the deposit which could see yo...u paying more than 10% or being short if you end up purchasing for a bit more than you thought; or 3. Requesting that you can organise an EFT transfer at the auction - which can be a problem if the internet connection is not ideal. This option has to be requested in advance and in my experience most vendor's Conveyancers say no. Note that options 2 & 3 can leave you with serious legal issues if you don't pay the full deposit on the day of the auction. Also note, your Conveyancer can always request a 5% deposit prior to an auction.
