24.01.2022 Alexandra APRA Pro Rodeo 2020 All photos from the Performance Session at Alexandra in January have been edited,cropped & uploaded to my website and can be viewed at the link below. https://bractionphotography.com//alexandra-apra-rodeo-2020... BR Action Photography will be present for the Slack at Kyabram Rodeo on Friday morning at 10AM but there are no guarantees whatsoever that I'll be bright-eyed and bushy tailed due to 10AM being the time I normally get out of bed. But either way, I'll be there having a crack at capturing the great action we can expect from the McPHEE RODEO COMPANY stock along the with the best of the best from the cowboys and cowgirls in the APRA standings competing this weekend. Great Slack program looking at it on paper - when was the last time you saw a round of the Open Bull Ride and a round of the Open Saddle Bronc in the Slack Session. This is an SOS to all Victorian cowboys and cowgirls. Don't get caught napping again this year during the very popular Tri-Series at Kyabram, Merrijig and Chiltern Rodeos. If you have studied the form guide, you will have realised plenty of interstate cowboys and cowgirls are making the trip south to consolidate their position in the APRA standings for the 2020 National Finals at Warwick in late October this year. Past performance is a good indicator of future behaviour so we know they are going to do a hit & run mission on the Tri-Series. Good luck, best wishes and most of all safe travels to each and every competitor competing in the Tri-Series this weekend. I will attempt to post some highlights after each rodeo but I can't guarantee it with a 10 PM finish at Kyabram on Friday night and an 8 AM start at Merrijig for the Slack Session on Saturday morning. 23.01.2022 Few LOW RES highlights of Sunday's Performance Session at Chiltern Rodeo. Kelvin Duke would have been very pleased from his seat in the Grandstand in the Heavens watching the 2020 Chiltern Rodeo. Great effort by the Chiltern Committee to put on the rodeo you did considering the arena was under water the previous Thursday.... A big thank you also to Mick Phibbs and Committee for the hospitality extended to me on Monday - much appreciated and I look forward to working with you all next year to promote the 2021 Chiltern Pro Rodeo. 21.01.2022 Another one of my favourite genres of Action Photography is capturing FMX (Freestyle Moto-X) riders in action. These guys have nerves of steel believe me. From the time they leave the take off ramp, do their stunt, then prepare to land safely is a matter of seconds. I was fortunate to capture these guys from the DEFY Freestyle Moto-X Team at a 4 x 4 National Outdoor Show at Melbourne Showgrounds near on 6 years ago. If my memory serves me correctly, @schuiefmx was the star of... the show on the orange and white KTM motorbike. If you're not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room. Even though Rodeo is my first love when it comes to Action Photography, I could easily fall in love with other Action type events. Barry Richards BR Action Photography #BBAAPPT

21.01.2022 Flashback to my first visit to the 'Curry in 2018 for the Merry Muster and X-treme Bulls at the Showgrounds in town. Of course the entertainment continued after the X-treme Bulls with Fred Brophy's Boxing Tent firing up. 20.01.2022 Sporting Horses Australia Few highlight photos from Sunday's ABHA Rounds of Junior and Open Barrel Racing at Boneo Park, Rosebud VIC. For ease of navigation on my website, I have separated events into individual albums - EG, U/15, U/18, Open in SHA then Open and Juniors in ABHA Events.... Sunday events have been separated into Junior and Open. Congratulations to all who competed over the weekend. It was great to have the opportunity to photograph this event at such a beautiful purpose built and designed complex. Good to see so many Victorians out and enjoying our new found freedom judging by the amount of traffic going to and from Rosebud. 20.01.2022 One of the McPhee Rodeo Company's rank Saddle Bronc horses in "Double Time" at Narrandera APRA Rodeo 2020 with current Rookie Saddle Bronc leader Gavin Fry on board. Gavin Fry saw out the 8 second whistle for an 81 point marking. 20.01.2022 Lang Lang #APRA Rodeo - 2018 - Flashbacks Plenty of action at Lang Lang Rodeo on Easter Monday 2018 to wrap up the last rodeo on the Southern Cross Rodeo Circuit. Presentation of Lang Lang Rodeo Committee Life Members as Lang Lang was inducted into the APRA Hall of Fame. Plenty of current day Champions along with Champions from another era.... Also present that day was Katy Scott (Miss Rodeo Australia) and a former Miss Rodeo Australia from another era in Jenny Sheahan & both looking very elegant I might add. 20.01.2022 When Wagga Wagga Rodeo was postponed in early February this year, there was no way I was turning around to head back to Melbourne as I was closer to the NSW border than I was to home. Cowra Japanese Gardens is one of the many places I visited in the fortnight I was waiting for Wagga Wagga Rodeo. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful country. Can't wait to cross the Victorian border in the near future and escape another Melbourne winter.

18.01.2022 Another successful Narrandera Rodeo is done & dusted. A great crowd got plenty of bang for their buck last night during the Performance Session. Will Purcell sponsored by Wrangler took out the Open Bull Ride with a 92 point marking on the rank McPhee Rodeo Company Bull " Mr Fabulous." Will then backed up in the Chute Out and took another $1000 of Cowboy Cash home in the back of his Wranglers after covering another rank bull from the McPhee Rodeo Company in "Rugged Ridge." Too...k a couple of photos when I went for my 5 k run this morning. Unfortunately I had to turn back as the flies were that bad, they were bombarding me. Not much activity in the Competitors carpark this morning. Might be a few sore heads though. Expect a few highlight photos by later tonight. Got to head home today to check to see if the squatters haven't moved in. It's been a great 3 1/2 weeks on the road. How much fun can one man have in one day. Because of restrictions on gatherings of 500 people or more in one place, it may be necessary to celebrate Damo's birthday in two separate sittings.
