Green Teas - 85 degrees 3 minutes Oolong Teas - 85 degrees for lighter Oolongs and hotter water for darker oolongs 3-5 minutes Black Teas - 100 degrees 5 minutes Tisanes - 100 degrees 5-10 minutes When using high quality, longer leaf teas, the leaves will often yield a 2nd, third or even more brews from the original leaves. #brackendaletea #teabrewing #dontoverdoit

18.01.2022 All good things come to an end and sadly we had to say goodbye to the beautiful tea gardens of Darjeeling & Sikkim and our wonderful home stays @temikothihomestay and Tea Masters extraordinaires @asianschooloftea. With our Tea Sommeliers qualifications in hand we set off on the rest of our Indian adventure - first stop Jaipur. Chai from the oldest Chai Shop in the city! It was amazing to say the very least! 05.01.2022 When I think back to how the journey of owning Brackendale Tea Co began, all I can do is smile. I was at a crossroads in my life having resigned from a management position with a well known direct sales kitchen appliance company 6 months before and I had a dream to own a tea shop. I saw a post on Facebook by a friend, saying that her friend was selling her tea company and someone had to buy it because the teas were amazing!! ... I asked for an introduction and the rest, as they say, is history. I feel so lucky to walk into my tearoom and gaze at all the tins wondering what will I drink today? What’s in your tea cup today?
