25.01.2022 Bushfire 6-aside cricket tournament Hi everyone who is interested in nominating a team for the bushfire charity tournament that we have coming up on the 2nd of February could we please have all nominations in by the 22nd of January! 19.01.2022 I have enclosed some more info form Qld Health and highlighted the part where it can say, you don't have to wear a mask when playing. We must let everyone know ...that we support what the government is doing but we are leaving it up to the player to make the decision to wear a mask or not. Face masks You must carry a face mask with you at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear a mask in indoor spaces, except in your home. For example: *shopping centres and supermarkets *hospitals and aged care facilities *gyms *workplaces where people cannot socially distance and where it is safe *places of worship *libraries *public transport, taxis and ride share vehicles *airport terminals and during flights *staff in restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs who interact with the public must wear masks but not patrons. You are not required to wear a face mask when outdoors at a safe distance from other people (for example, walking a dog), in private vehicles or when doing strenuous exercise. We recommend you wear a mask when outdoors if you are unable to stay more than 1.5m distance from other people, such as busy walkways and thoroughfares. 19.01.2022 Our Monday night ladies grand final was played last night between 30s and Rocks, with 30’s taking the win. Congrats to both teams and thankyou for an awesome season!! 18.01.2022 Well what an amazing day we had yesterday at Bracken Ridge Indoor Sports!! Our community came together and showed for our precious boy. It was a day for commun...ity by our community, we had people from all walks - some who play representative netball, some who have never played before, we had families, friends, colleagues, kids, adults, parents, grandparents all taking to the court for my boy!! Hendrix would have relished in a day like that, he loves some healthy competition, a good dress up and a great feed! There are no words to express how grateful Saiah, myself and our children are for all of the love and support that has been shown to our family during one of the hardest times of our lives. We truly are blessed to have each and everyone one of you in our lives and we are forever grateful. Hugest thank you to Riwhi, Tina, Michelle, Tegan and all of the team at our Bracken Ridge Bulls Netball family. Thank you Andrew our umpiring coordinator for the day and all of the people who volunteered their time to umpire in that ugly heat. Big thank you to Serena for organising and running the bake sale. Huge thank you to Kelly for all of the donations that she organised and her team at PFD Food Services and their associates for the BBQ, meat trays, bake sale items, hampers and vouchers. Thanks Hog's Breath Cafe for the vouchers. Thank you to Nat for the meat packs. Biggest thanks to our two main BBQ’ers Geoff Macdonald and John Alexander. Big thank you to the Brisbane Broncos for the signed jersey they donated, this raffle is still running for one more week so go down to the centre and buy your tickets. Thankyou again to every single person and player today! Thankyou also to our umpires who did 5-6 games in a row today it’s not an easy job usually on a cooler day let alone how hot it was today! So thankyou so much once again! I would like to congratulate our winners on the day Updowns and also congratulations to our runners up Salt&pepper! It was a huge day guys! 15.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I hope your year so far is going well. We just wanted to bring to your attention a few rules and regulations that we would like to readdress so everyone is on the same page. ... 1. Firstly, we just want to address the attitude towards umpires and staff. We will not tolerate any misconduct towards umpires or staff, this includes verbal and physical abuse. If we believe that you are acting in an unpleasant or distasteful way towards our umpires/staff, this could go as far as resulting in player or team removal from the court or competition. Please remember that our umpires and staff are human and can make mistakes but there is a better way to go about any complaint or problems then disrespecting umpires/staff. Without our umpires and staff we would not have a centre for you to play at, so please remember that respect is a two way street. 2. Secondly, we will not tolerate anyone bringing in any outside alcohol. As we have a food and alcohol license, we are unable to allow you to bring in any alcohol that is purchased outside of the venue. If you are seen to bring in any outside alcohol, this will result in staff asking you to either remove the alcohol from the premises or leave the centre. 3. Please remember that we game are set to a certain time schedule so being on time for your games is key to the competition running smoothly. If for unforeseen circumstances you are running late to a game (traffic, etc) please just give us a call to let us know, if you do not notify us that you will not be on time, score penalties can occur. 4. Our fees are TEAM fees. Please be aware that all fees are calculated as a team cost, this means that if you are short players for the night, it is the teams responsibility to cover the total game fee for the night. Exemptions may apply when a team notifies us that the missing fee will be payed by the missing player when they return. Thank you for continuing to choose our centre to play at, we appreciate all the support in such a tough time for everyone. We look forward to seeing all patrons enjoy themselves this year! Her boy 'Hendrix' is in the fight of his life and we are going to help the way we know how to - NETBALL.
