23.01.2022 Well what a busy start to the year we have had! We havent posted much so, heres a bit of an update on whats been going on in the shed and out in the paddock. Working on various different machines for farmers, on site. Vw Van with a seized turbo, plenty of cruiser clutch and tunes. Engine rebuilds.... D8t undercarriage, and the list goes on and on. 19.01.2022 Recent work on a 336E digger. The engine was having injector faults, dpf issues and coolant entry. The customer was great, wanting to be thorough in fixing it and doing some preventative maintenance work as well. Changed head, injectors, turbo, water pump and a few odds and ends. Fitted a cat muffler / dpf upgrade kit.... Also found the egr cooler slightly leaking and would normally need a few thousand to replace it. Luckily for him we can custom tune the ecm to live without it . See more

18.01.2022 The boys have been flat out the last couple of weeks with a tidal wave of earth moving gear! An old G series 140 came in for a well deserved make over, including complete overhauls on the transmission, diff and both tandem drives. While we had it stripped down we pulled the engine out to reseal the front timing cover and a valve set. A 966H loader also came in with issues changing gears. Once the transmission was removed and stripped down, worn out clutch seals were fou...nd to be the cause, limiting drive through all gears. After a rebuild and dyno testing the loader is back moving dirt with plenty of life. If you can't bring your machine to the workshop, don't worry we can bring the workshop to you! 15.01.2022 Heres a job we have from Saturday, a ram 1500 rear airbag conversion. This is a coil replacement kit and can be controlled multiple ways . This one is wireless remote. You can add tyre inflation and air tanks etc. ... All components hid under the ram box area. The bags are great for leveling front to back and side to side once a load is put on the Ute. The owner is very happy.

14.01.2022 Something a bit different this week. Brake upgrade for the 79 series. We are normally making things go faster, but its just as important to be able to stop! We had already fitted drilled rotors and HD pads but still wanted something better. ... These brake booster upgrades bring the 79 brake line pressure up to the prado/ 100 series pressures . 13.01.2022 New EFS 13000 lb winch and ally bar for the . We are now able to supply and fit all EFS high quality products. This bullbar was also covered in a clear protective film from the girls slickazz coatings . It will hopefully prevent having to polish it all the time.

09.01.2022 This D5b is on its way home this morning. Weve done a service. It had water in the sump and we found the water pump to be the cause. Fixed a few other issues / leaks, it will be ready for work now! Now were off on a road trip to Caloundra to get this 966h transmission tested so we can refit it.

06.01.2022 Weve just got this f250 back on the road after some major work. The 7.3 cracked the bottom of 3 bores, so we did a full rebuild with a new block. It had done the turbo in as well so we fitted a ball bearing garret upgrade along with a bunch more new parts. Matts been under a few other big yanky girls of late. Our 6 ton hoist can lift any of these trucks, even when loaded up with all the gear. ... He has also fitted a Suspension lift in a ram, 3 lift to level the front with some rear air bags , and Service on a Silverado this week. See more

05.01.2022 A little canter truck in with suspension issues today. Common problem with these parabolic front ends is they loose ride height over time from fatigue and weight. Bump stops end up with minimal clearance and your head hits the roof on most bumps. We have a few options for these, but we fitted some multi leaf packs and new shocks to this one. The driver is very happy with the results.

03.01.2022 Despite all the COVID-19 talk, Brackens Field Maintenance is business as usual! This tough looking 76 series came in this week for a bit of a freshen up. We treated it with one of our ECU remaps, HPD catch can and a heavy duty clutch turning it into the ultimate off-road machine! Land cruisers have been the hot topic of late with a number of clutch and remap jobs in the past fortnight as well as a front diff reseal to keep everything rolling smoothly! @ Brackens Field Maintenance
