13.01.2022 The Tasmanian Government has launched the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Growth Voucher System which is designed to encourage Tasmanian advanced manufacturing enterprises to choose a pathway to undertake innovation and growth initiatives thereby improving their competitiveness. The Program may provide assistance to (but not limited to): * Quality Assurance systems (eg ISO 9000, 1401, 1345, HACCP, AusDefCon) ... * Designers in industry - industrial product design, design for manufacturing * Disruptive technologies specialised expertise to assist the implementation and adoption of disruptive technologies * Engineering and applied research to identify embedded innovation, redesign, new product development etc. Assistance is available to eligible Tasmanian small and medium sized advanced manufacturing enterprises with a sales turnover in excess of $300 000 up to $20 million. Minimum grant assistance is $5 000 up to a maximum of $10 000, with the applicant contributing at least two-thirds of the project costs in cash. 10.01.2022 Tourist Accommodation Refurbishment Loan Scheme As part of Governments continuing commitment to the visitor economy, the Tourism Accommodation Refurbishment Loan Scheme (TARLS) will provide for up to $20 million to be made available over an initial two year period, for low interest loans for eligible tourist accommodation businesses operating in Tasmania. TARLS will provide assistance to tourism operators, particularly in regional Tasmania, to improve the standard of the tou...rism offering in Tasmania and assist operators within the sector to lift the standard of their product or services. Led by the Office of the Coordinator-General and Department of State Growth and administered by the Tasmanian Development Board, loans will be provided for a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $1.5 million. TARLS will also contribute to Priority 3 within T21 The Tasmanian Visitor Economy Strategy 2015-2020, which highlights investment in quality visitor infrastructure. The Community Infrastructure Fund will be open to not for profit organisations (incorporated or registered under company law) local councils (including council-owned businesses) and private sector businesses to assist wi...th capital costs associated with the construction of new, or the upgrading of existing, infrastructure that will benefit the community. A small component of the Community Infrastructure Fund will be available for planning/feasibility activities that demonstrate strong community benefit.
