22.01.2022 Did you know that today is International Literacy Day? Literacy is a part of everyday life here at Brady Bunch ELC. Today our room 2 children have explored our felt letters, learning to identify the first letter of their names.

22.01.2022 Our babies have celebrated NAIDOC week today, engaging in an art experience to paint their own version of the Aboriginal flag.

21.01.2022 Thank you to all our families for your kind words and gifts! Our educators have loved reading about why you chose to join our Brady Bunch family! We have enjoyed a delicious morning tea and all our educators have received a little relaxation goodie bag to enjoy at home.

20.01.2022 Caution! Construction crew at work! Our Room 2 children have loved creating their own town using window & door stickers and recycled boxes.

19.01.2022 As part of their Diwali celebrations, our room 2 children were encouraged to focus on the bright vibrant colours and incorporating light into creating their own sun catchers today. This experience not only allowed our children to develop a deeper understanding of a different culture, but it was wonderful for their fine motor skills. Using a pincer grip, the children took great care to pick up the tiny cuts of colourful paper and experimented with cause and effect with the sticky contact paper.

16.01.2022 Happy Diwali! Our Diwali celebrations have kicked off this week, with all children invited to explore the Indian festival of light. Our room 5 children have loved creating their own version of a Rangoli, using sequins to create colourful patterns.

14.01.2022 Wow, what a wintery blast today was! Our children loved getting out and playing in the snow! We even brought some of the snow inside for the children to explore. While our younger children weren't too sure about the snow, our older children loved creating snowmen and having a snowball fight.

14.01.2022 Our mini scientists in room 3 have been experimenting again, this time creating their own volcano!

09.01.2022 Our Kinder children have been learning all about their emotions this week. Our educators have been showing the children different techniques to help us calm down when we are feeling sad, angry, frustrated or overwhelmed as well as ways we can show how much we care about one another.

09.01.2022 CALLING ALL DADS! Make sure you're here for drop off in the morning! To celebrate Father's Day, and to stick within COVID restrictions, we will be holding a "Pick up and Go Breakfast". Bacon muffins and take away coffees will be available in the foyer tomorrow morning to show how much each Dad is appreciated!

09.01.2022 Sometimes the simplest resources are the most loved. Our children love exploring outside everyday, connecting with nature. With the weather heating up water play is also a much loved experience each day.

This week as part of our NAIDOC celebrations we recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. Our centre sits on Wadawurrung land, everyday we work with our children to develop a respectful understanding of the long and rich history of this country.

It allows them to develop their hand-eye coordination, builds the stability in their elbows and arm & shoulder strength, as well as refining their dexterity & control over what they are drawing.
