18.01.2022 There are many things we have learned over the past 4 years working together. We have made many mistakes, testing our patience together, we have cut our fingers, cried (a lot) and shared many delirious, hilarious times. Big events seem to make us nostalgic and we always take some time to reflect on what we have learned from each one. Each time we learn from the flowers, how they performed on the day and how we could care for them better. The devil is always in the detail. Ike...bana means arranging flowers or making flowers alive. It’s what we always strive for, to make flowers with movement. This is Georgia’s arrangement at the Introduction to Ikebana class we hosted a while back. It looks like the mangroves near her home. Thank you for all your interest in classes. We’re looking to start up again in the new year so that we can enjoy learning along side you, our friends. Thank you for following along on our flower journey! Azzmin & Georgia

01.01.2022 An end to summer’s corn Spells a change in the wind And a shift in the seasons

01.01.2022 Weddings. We love love, flowers and family, but weddings are hard for us. We don’t like to create waste. We don’t use plastic floral foam and we can’t get your favourite flower imported out of season. We don’t want to treat the flowers, the seasons or our farmers like slaves to an aesthetic, a colour palette, a theme. We want to do the things you like, but we don’t want to copy other florists work. We don’t like charging ridiculous amounts of money, yet we don’t like working... 15 hours days without growing our business. Where to from here? We’re not sure, as our emails fill up again with new enquiries at a volume we struggle to find time to answer with flowers in one hand and a mop in the other. We appreciate your patience & understanding that we can’t corporatise or standardise the process much. It’s stretchy. If you love love, flowers, creativity and figuring it all out with heart and care for the planet - email us at [email protected]
