14.01.2022 BRAG is seeking an Indigenous Art Curator for Noongar Country Exhibition 2021 The Bunbury Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) is calling for expressions of interest from experienced curators to present the 2021 Noongar Country Exhibition and to mentor an emerging curator. This exhibition is extremely valued by our South West community and generates much interest around Australia. Noongar Country is a contemporary showcase of living culture and story interpreted through diverse medium...s by Indigenous artists residing on Noongar Country, giving voice and connection to past and present. The successful applicant is expected to work closely with the BRAG team to design the marketing, public programs and events associated with the exhibition. 12.01.2022 Tickets are selling fast for this unique workshop! Join local artists Christopher Young, Helen Seiver, and Julieanne Hilbers in a conversation on how art can support us in life and in death. Along the way we will be creating a Coffin-like sculpture using sticks and gluey string. This workshop runs alongside Christopher Young's current exhibition at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery (BRAG), "Eight: The Shift". An exhibition uncovering end-of-life cultural experiences, the work... explores how people respond to the experiences, environments and institutions they encounter during such times.
