24.01.2022 Native Animal Rescue Group has implemented a Wildlife Bushfire & Drought Recovery Plan which includes: The establishment of an operating veterinary triage clinic in Tomboye. 24/7 response to reports of injured wildlife.... The establishment of supplementary wildlife feed and water stations. The establishment of rolling search & rescue operations in and adjacent to firegrounds. How can you help? Landowners can assist by calling NARG on 4846 1900 when you see injured, fire-affected, struggling wildlife. Landowners in fire-affected areas, who would like search & rescue operations on their properties, can contact NARG with your address and details of injured wildlife sightings etc. In response NARG will arrange to come out and search for injured/struggling wildlife and transport them to the NARG Veterinary Triage Clinic. And where necessary, NARG will also arrange the euthanasia and removal of critically-injured wildlife. We look forward to working with you to assist native wildlife in the Braidwood region.

15.01.2022 It’s been an exciting few days. We have been looking for an older dog for very special elderly clients of ours. Today we drove into Canberra to collect this little angel and she got to meet our delightful elderly client today She will stay with us till the weekend as our dear client has important drs appointments. ... Tomorrow we will take her for a visit to her future forever home Over the next few days, we will focus on specific lead training. Will not be difficult at all for her. But we must help to her walk WITH her elderly companion and not walk him lol She is a little champion and being a small dog she will be easy for our clients to manage. In a few days sweet Izzy will have two humans who will devote their everydays to her, as her ever constant companions. We’ve given her a refreshing bath, her first flea treatment and a worming and we now have her veterinary details to pass on to her new forever hoomans It’s NEVER easy re-homing a much loved family fur-baby but whatever small consolation it may be - is that this match is a blessing for both hoomans and fur-baby

10.01.2022 No matter the crisis there are always opportunistic predators ready to prey and capitalise on the unsuspecting. Beware the scams. Keep safe http://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-puppy-scams-on/12261994

03.01.2022 What a year it has been with the summer from hell, (the bushfires) then the floods and now COVID ... and with no discernible let up in sight. Whilst we have not had a clientele over the past nearly 7 months now, we have thrown ourselves into post-bushfires wildlife rescue and recovery efforts. Right now we are focussed on lobbying the government to implement the recommendations arising from the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act review and the most recent K...oala populations and habitat in New South Wales report which predicts koala extinction in 30 years. What a tragedy it would be, if Australia sat by and did nothing to address this impending forecast. Join me in demanding the government act now and fulfil IT’S statutory obligation to safeguard Australia’s unique, iconic species currently under threat. https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au//P/inquiry-details.aspx
