18.01.2022 More pad options to suit the rear of Toyota Chaser JZX100! We were very heavily reliant on QFM to supply the rear pads to suit JZX100, but as most of you would've heard by now, they're out of business and no longer a thing. One of the first product lines we raced to replace was the JZX100 rear! Happy to announce that we now have two more pad options from one of our VERY high-quality pad brands, Compact Brake.... Available in two different compounds, both performance orientated. The first is the Kenji One, which is equivalent to something like the QFM HPX or Bendix Ultimate performance-wise, $79 for the set. The second is the Nano Max, this is more like a Ferodo DS Performance equivalent pad performance-wise, and will be great in the rear of a car doing track work. $89 for the set. We've only just received our first shipment so stock is pretty limited (3 of each compound). We're excited to continue our tradition of supporting the JZX100 community with products otherwise not available, including the 4000 Series T3 rear rotors to suit JZX100, and 4000 Series T3 fronts to suit LS400. 15.01.2022 Brakes Direct COVID-19 Statement - 27th March Due to the effects of COVID-19, Brakes Direct will be reducing the opening hours of our Hendra store to be closed on Saturdays until further notice. We continue to be open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday (QLD Time), observing all recommended government and health recommendations. All of our freight and courier partners continue to operate as normal and deliveries up to now are surprisingly unaffected. ... All of our major suppliers and brands are business as usual, and this combined with our large internal inventory means orders, for the most part, are still as quick as ever! We are however experiencing delays with products which are sourced from overseas, due to the unprecedented decimation of air freight services into Australia. This is mainly affecting freight coming in from the United States and the United Kingdom. Thankfully this is largely limited to motorsport products, which have seen demand fall considerably, with most events cancelled in the short term. One in particular that we run in the Lemons series. Wanting to let you know that we were extremely happy with the FP3 pads in the front of the Mazda 3 race car and we ended up winning the event held at Calder park raceway last weekend! The pads provided better braking force and better pedal feel than the Carbotech pads we had used previously and we didnt experience the end of day brake shudder we had been getting in previous events. The race went for a period of two days with 14 hours continuous on day 1 and 7 hours continuous on day 2. The brakes performed flawlessly and didnt change during that whole period!"
