19.01.2022 #THE INSTAGRAM HASHTAGS TRUTH! It's fascinating to see how many people are putting a blanket of hashtags under their posts hoping that they are doing the right thing. Can we please break your beliefs?... 1Hashtags are not the tool for active account growth. Time and effort certainly don't match. You can juggle hashtags for a year and would get maybe 100-300 new followers in the best case. 2All they do is register the post against a specific hashtag. Yes, it will still matter who follow this hashtag (yes, you can follow hashtags) or whether anyone is searching through hashtags. So think - does your target audience follow this hashtag? 3Not all posts get shown for assigned to post hashtags. Have you checked your posts insights? Do you see posts that get higher impressions? One day it works, next might not. There are reasons for that! What do we do for brands that we work with? Create an easy hashtags map that is relevant, reaches your target audience, not hard to maintain and doesn't take much time to publish. BUT! But we at BRAND-AID (despite the fact that we usually promote usage of social networks) want to remind you about the several aspects you need to be aware during the lockdown: The more we stay on social media - the less happy we become. Some studies show that social media use is linked to a greater feeling of social isolation. We see too much of other lives. As a result, we compare our lives with them, which is mentally unhealthy. We do it subconsciously, but sadly it is linked to depressive symptoms. Don't forget; it can become an addiction. We grab our phones as soon as we get up and spend hours scrolling through without any particular reason. Worse is the fact that we keep coming back to social media waiting for this update that will make us feel happy, but it doesn't make us feel very good. 07.01.2022 FACEBOOK ADS: THINGS TO AVOID For sure you've noticed that these's been some major changes on Facebook and Instagram platforms. The changes are so significant that some experts consider them being the biggest in the past 15 years. They will affect Facebook Ads too (which are effectively Instagram ads as well). From now on, there are a few things you should avoid when creating a Facebook ad:... Content created for the sole purpose of pushing people to buy a product Content that pushes people to enter promotions, giveaways or contests Ads that link to outbound content - give value first! 06.01.2022 YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA WILL WORK FOR YOU ONLY IF YOU USE IT! Today one of our clients asked us how many leads other clients to get from social media. And because we are super transparent about it - we are happy to share this information with you guys as well! It depends. And it depends on how well you would use your account.... So let's have a look: A real estate company has a pretty account, but they do not connect with people, just put posts out. How many leads do you think they will get? CORRECT! Very few. Because even if you put makeup on, you still need to go out to meet someone. OR A real estate agent that put posts out about best ways of selling properties, helps vendors with straightforward advice, consistently uses stories and talks about how this or that property was sold. Also shares his personal story, you see his family, you know his values. This guy will be flooded with leads because he makes you feel like you know him. So we have amazing clients who take social media game seriously, and we love seeing how they get clients and grow their business thanks to us! But let's have a look how much effort have you put into it: You use social media consistently for: 1 month (hello baby account) 6 months (keep going) 1 year (great work) more than 1 year (so happy to meet you) Your account has: less than 100 follower (just like your neighbourhood granny) 100-1000 followers (it's just the beginning) 1000-5000 followers (you can start selling!) more than 5000 followers (good level) Your posts get on average: less than 10 likes (no one likes you) 10-20 likes (you must have some friends) 20-100 likes (your dog can get same number) more than 100 (local star) We know you've heard a lot of people say that likes and follows don't mean anything - sales do. Yeah kinda. BUT! This metrics can help you adjust your online behaviour and start selling. Experiment!!! Try new things, engage, collaborate, create ads. 01.01.2022 WHAT NOT TO POST IN STORIES! Check if you tend to post any of the below: TALK SPAM... A talking head in stories for a length of 10 stories! That's how it looks like. Guess why IGTV was created? (So that you could stretch your sharing time). If you can't share your idea between 15-40 seconds - you need to work on it. LOCATION SPAM Very similar to the above. You recorded a walk around the beautiful location, posted it in Insta - bam! - it's 7 stories altogether. The same day you filmed more picturesque locations and put it in again for 7 stories length And again. 21 stories. NO ONE CAN WATCH IT EXCEPT FOR YOUR MUM! WEEKENDS ON THE BEACH OK - If it is your company culture, but let's say you are concreter, car repairer, logistic company, business consultant, please save it for your personal page. Your target audience came to you for a reason - and it is not to know how you spend your free time. COFFEE BREAKS Some accounts just keep posting their coffees for the sake of doing something. Together with the above weekends, it seems like all you do is coffee breaks and weekends on the beach. When do you work? If you do it - do 10% of it - not 100%! GYM WORKOUTS Unless you are a personal coach, gym or a transformational mentor. Think about it - how an account created for promoting accounting services is connected to your personal gym experience. Keep it with coffee breaks and weekends on your personal page! PHOTOS OR VIDEOS WITHOUT CAPTIONS People need to know the purpose of the picture, or they'll tap away. If you are a real estate agent or a builder, showing the kitchen around - point out details in the caption: "Look how awesome these taps are", "What an incredible view from the dining area". Let's summarise: no talking heads for more than 40 seconds (try for 15 seconds), 1 location per 1-2 stories, keep your personal life personal, don't make your account look as if all you do is glorifying moments off work, put some text over photos and videos.
