22.01.2022 I love seeing the potential in home renovations and bringing life back into homes where if only the walls could talk. The opportunity to write up this 1930s gem with its Art Deco interiors and extensive history was a great experience.

20.01.2022 Well, it's one of those days unfortunately and my website and emails are currently down. Please enjoy the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof whilst I tackle this beast to have it rectified.

19.01.2022 I was privileged to be asked by a new client to find the words to help list this magical property recently...an entertainer's paradise!

18.01.2022 Jodie Fox , founder of Shoes of Prey and author of Reboot: Probably More Than You Ever Wanted to Know about Starting a Global Business - you are such an inspiration. So lovely to have met you. Celebrating women on International Women's Day last week at the amazing Gen Collective IWD event at Merewether Surfhouse

06.01.2022 Today we celebrate every woman: Every woman who is young and aspirational and those who are older with knowledge to share. Every woman who has been blessed to be a Mum, an Auntie, a Grandma.... Every woman who has found the strength to smile when all they want to do is crumble. Every woman full of fresh and exciting goals, but isn't clear how to achieve them. Every woman carving her own journey and creating her own adventures. Every woman who has forged a name for herself in a male dominated industry. Every woman who is willing to or needed to pivot personally and professionally. Every woman who can acknowledge when they have to just stop... Today, @sam_armytage , someone I hold in high regard in media, acknowledged to viewers that her time to take time out for herself after, is now, at the peak of her career. It was heartfelt, raw and I totally got where she was coming from. She shared probably the most inspirational quote I've heard as she said goodbye to viewers today, something her Mum, Libby, used to say to her: "Edit your life frequently and ruthlessly. It is your masterpiece after all." Few truer more powerful words have been spoken, in my mind. Happy International Women's Day

05.01.2022 I've had a lesson in humility today. Today is otherwise known as Australia Day and throughout my entire life, I'd spent the day celebrating and relishing a life of freedom of speech, freedom of choice, family, and democracy. To me, it's always been a day to celebrate and be proud of our multicultural nation, where we've come from and where we're headed, our achievements, our amazing individuals who are carving almost superhuman paths for the betterment of others, or those who... have overcome unfathomable experiences. For me, it's always been about waving the flag as high as you can and belting out classic Aussie rock music at the top of my lungs. Today has been different. It started with me saying to someone, "Happy Australia Day", to which the response was sombre and heartfelt. I admit it hit a nerve with me. But, I'd been ignorant. Decades of ingrained and habitual behaviours had diluted the real meaning behind this day. For our indigenous, it's NOT a day of celebration but a day of mourning, heartbreak and a reminder of lives and generations changed forever. Cultures almost obliterated. Families ripped apart. I'd been so caught up with my own traditions and wanting to celebrate who we are now as a nation and be proud to live and breathe under our flag, that I'd diminished the effect it was having on others - and I'm not proud of myself. I spent ages trying to find the right image for my post and a part of me automatically gravitated to the happy smiling white Australians with flag tattoos on their cheeks, beach shots, or fireworks. But I, for one, need to change my language around the meaning of saying "Happy Australia Day" today. Whilst I still believe Australians need a day to rejoice and be proud...it's not today - 26th January. I would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live today, the Awabakal People, and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who now reside in this area. I extend that respect to Elders past and present and future cultural knowledge holders. I'm sorry.
