11.01.2022 Like so many, the Brandish Australia and Purple Betty Productions teams are completely heartbroken by the events of last week. Cyclone Debbie has left so much devastation in her wake with thousands of people affected in our community. Debbie's wrath has reached out west and down our Queensland coast to the south east and into northern New South Wales. With the images and stories of destruction and loss has inspiringly come with an incredible and heart warming sense of comm...unity spirit and mateship. As the organisers of the Colour Dash3000, we have decided the theme of the day will be 'United by Colour'. The idea behind this is to rally our community together, remind us of our strength in unity and help continue the process of rebuilding our beautiful region. "We have added a Brave Wave to the days schedule," said, the event Owner/Director Sarah Annetts, "This wave is free of charge and reserved completely for the incredible emergency service workers who have done for much during Cyclone Debbie. We encourage the community to nominate SES, Fire brigade, Ambulance, Doctors, Nurses, Animal Rescue, Ergon people to take part. We also encourage everyone to come along and cheer on these hardworking and committed men and women."
