25.01.2022 In the end only kindness matters...
23.01.2022 Recently we had a great night of celebrating and reflecting over the last 7 years with the many friends of Brand New Day. Many people helped shape us; and the work we were able to achieve. <3 They say the heart of a volunteer is not measured in size - but by the depth of a commitment to make a difference in the lives of others. <3... Thank you to everybody involved, for your support, generosity, talent and awesomeness! We also announced that ‘Community Links Wellbeing’ would be the receiver of our surplus assets and they have pledged this money would be put towards their 'Crisis Care'. A note of thanks we received from Greg Duffy - General Manager of Community Links Wellbeing (CLW) in Tahmoor. Thanks again, we are humbled that you chose CLW and you can be assured that this money will get to the people in our community that need it the most. To read more about CLW http://www.communitylinks.org.au/ A great collection of photos - forever thankful to everyone who sent in photos as memories of the night for us. xx
21.01.2022 With a heavy heart we will soon be wrapping up operations at Brand New Day. 7 years ago we set out as a group of volunteers & in our spare time to start a not for profit organisation for the Macarthur region; connecting and empowering females through conversations, education, awareness and pathways. In that period, we have had the wonderful opportunity to form relationships & support building processes with individuals and groups within the public health system, local healt...h care services & support networks, the business sector, local government & non-government sectors, local schools, local voluntary groups, and the general public; all working together to support the vulnerable people within Macarthur. We have touched lives in so many positive ways and it has felt pretty awesome!! Along the way we have met so many incredible and inspiring people and heard so many really amazing stories. We have made so many friendships; many will be lifelong. The Brand New Day story ends here as we are voluntary cancelling our charity. Although this decision has been difficult we know there are many wonderful organisations and groups supporting the vulnerable people in need in our community. The people of Macarthur rock at supporting their own! We are all in this together On behalf of the Brand New Day team, Shelly, Debra, Melissa, Jane, Leanne, Suzie, Belinda and Bernadette, I would just like to say a sincere heart felt thank you to everyone who has supported our works, in mind or actions; may you always find what you are looking for in life. :-) Warmly Therese x

09.01.2022 Imagine if you had limited money to feed your family or pay for rent... Did you know a number of women who find themselves in this situation actually have hardly any underwear if any We emptied the undies donation tin the other night. :-)... Happy to say that including the help of a donation from THRI - Western Sydney Uni staff & students Soup Kitchen we were able to purchase over 60 pairs of undies of different sizes, ready for delivery next week. Thanks so much to everyone who dropped in their excess change in the tin and to Mel and the soup kitchen! <3

01.01.2022 Gotta love Kmart Narellan. Thank you for your support <3 Kmart staff (especially managers Joel and Michael) were very helpful in finding enough doonas from all the Kmart’s over the area for our epic $1500 order; they even gave us a 20% discount so we could provide even more doonas to local agency Macarthur Case Management Services for their clients in need! <3 Today we were able to deliver 80 single cotton covered doonas and 36 double cotton covered doonas from Kmart. <3... Thank you so much to - Early Expressions Child Care Camden, THRI - Western Sydney Uni staff & students Soup Kitchen, The Taber Family, The Jackson Family, Angus Bristow Retirement Village Residents group, Sandra Greeves at Sandra's One Stop Beauty Shop and Shanti and Co. from The Camden Yoga Collective group for making this delivery possible. xx Special mention and thanks to Easter's Auto Elec for taking time off work and helping with the epic delivery. <3
