25.01.2022 I’m out setting up to do some veneer at one of my first jobs. Always love going back and seeing old work

25.01.2022 Today we finished up our part of this awesome project, renovating this back yard. Replacing the dated blocks with natural blue stone. Adding in a couple extra walls at different heights to create more levels. Removed a heap of the existing higher level to add a bit more space down the bottom where another contractor has already paved. We used two big chunks of blue stone built in to the walls to make steps so you can get up to the highest level. Obviously now there is landsca...ping to be done, filling up the gardens and planting them, the paving up the top will be Re done as well as the garden along the back fence. I love the way the wall peels apart and finds its way back together. This has been one of my favourites to work on and I am keen to go back and see the whole job finished. Some how adding more to this area has made if feel so much bigger.. love my job. Shout to margie from ripper designs for the plan and getting me in #brandtstoneworks #stonemason #stonewall #stonewalls #stonework See more

25.01.2022 This was such a fun project ! We sat the steel fire pit in there today so that fires can be lit in it while the cement properly cures. Turned out to look neat as. Would love to do some more stuff like this so if you have any crazy ideas get in touch and we can make it happen #stonework #firepit #stonefirepit... #brandtstone See more

25.01.2022 Today I finished this 38m long dry stacked retaining wall built with natural sandstone from basket range the blocks down the bottom are spare material the owner had sitting around so I suggested using them along the bottom because they can be hidden once the garden is planted along the front. Earth works, back filling, landscaping, render on the lower existing wall. This project is far from finished but I am very happy with how the wall has come up! A huge enjoyment and ach...ievement for me. Ps I will be scratching the black off that big rock when I go back #drystack #sandstone #retaining #stonemasonry #brandtstone See more

24.01.2022 Finished this fireplace last week!! Again with quartzite ‘cottage blend’ veneer. It came up nice! By textbook I would have washed the stone more but the owner was after a more neutral colour/subtle look, glad we left it because I really like it and it suits the unit and location nicely. #stoneveneer #fireplace #brandtstone

23.01.2022 FIRE PIT Stone and steel. Incorporating the steel started as an idea from my client and we went ahead and made it happen. Super happy with how it came up, this really is unique #brandtstone #stonefirepit... #firepit #stonemason See more

23.01.2022 This was another really fun project! And an honour to have the chance to do so! Built on the property of a 150 year old beautiful home with the landscaping done to match. There is a bit of carpentry work and painting to go but once it is finished this rotunda will be used as a part of weddings on the property. #rotunda #stonework #stonerotunda #stonemason #brandtstone

23.01.2022 Once a dirt hill, now a pretty garden. The typical moss rocks spread thru the garden, with hidden-mortared stone work throughout, making little garden beds and different areas. Also slowing the flow of water in winter weather. And a rustic dry stack boarder wall up the very top to seperate a level grass area from where the hill starts to step down and away. It was a nice fresh way to be working with the stone and I love the outcome. Another contractor set the big rocks in p...lace before my contract had begun but we can get our hands on a driver and machinery to achieve this from nothing. Or come and freshen up existing gardens #brandtstone #stonework #gardenbeds See more

20.01.2022 Pulled down this old rendered block wall which had pushed and cracked due to hydrostatic pressure, beefed up the footings and rebuilt it with basket range sandstone in a dry stacked style but with a lot of hidden mortar and backfill as well as adding reo rod to lock it to the footings as well as reinforce the new wall. Had a ball doing it and it came up mint #stonework #stonewall #stonemasonry

18.01.2022 Rough, chunky, random, dry stacked, rustic styled #brandtstone

14.01.2022 Got back to finish some edges on this quartzite ‘cottage blend’ veneer feature wall, up on this beautiful outdoor entertaining area. Such a cool job I’m grateful to be a part of. Still a bbq to be installed and few things to be finished by other contractors but it looks amazing I love this #veneer #brandtstone

14.01.2022 2021 is locked and loaded! It’s been a busy year so far with lots of great jobs to come! We are most thankful for our clients who put their trust in us and give us great opportunities to do what we do, I love the work I do but also getting to know people and building relationships with the owners throughout the jobs really is the cherry on top for me! Although making money is important for everyone, our clients satisfaction is what drives me every day and with every stone I l...ay. Also thanks to the people who show interest and support to our company and the work we do, it is truly greatly appreciated. About 3 years in since establishment now and we are loving it, this company is my pride and focus, and it has developed and grown in to something I couldn’t even imagine at the start, which really humbles me when i stop and think about it. Anyway, moving forward we are branching in to design and landscape work as well. Our idea is to incorporate stone and landscape all in 1. Stone work will always be our backbone, but there have been lots of jobs where I would have loved to create, re make, or touch up the gardens to finish areas off perfectly. The plan is in motion, Riley has been busy studying her cert 2 and 3 in landscaping - for the professional understanding and knowledge in designing jobs , I have worked around some incredible people and beautiful gardens - giving me invaluable experience and inspiration, and recently we have been working with a client, as always listening to their ideas and visions and working together to develop those; now we have our very first all in 1, completed re design and re make of a country backyard booked in to start September this year which we can’t wait for. We will always take stand alone stone jobs but will be chasing the ‘all in 1’ designing and landscaping to go with the stone work for the chance to create 1 of a kind, immaculate gardens, areas and backyards. Thanks again, get in touch any time to discuss and plan work or get a quote, 2022 will be here before we know it

14.01.2022 A little stone retaining running off of this existing block wall, around the back of a shed. tidied up the area a lot! #drystack #brandtstone #stonemasonry

13.01.2022 Quartzite ‘cottage blend’ veneer on this internal wall and chimney on the roof, with darker pointing than what is common. Glad to get the chance to do some darker pointing, it makes the stone pop that little bit more. Came up great! #brandtstoneworks #veneer

10.01.2022 Pizza oven ! Such a great opportunity and so much fun constructing this! Got the stone and steel base with rough finished render on the oven itself. To be painted whichever colour the owner wishes but I think the raw finish still looks great #brandtstoneworks #pizzaoven #stonework #stonepizzaoven

10.01.2022 Finished up the first phase of work last week and had a lot of doing so, building on from this existing limestone wall and capping it with mortar. Built with salvaged limestone from another job or property, it’s great to be putting it to use. Can’t wait to get back and continue with plans here! #limestone #limestonewall #stonemasonry #brandtstone

09.01.2022 Some neat little steps made with stone and sleepers! Loving the contrast between the two materials on this one featuring Callie&Gena #brandtstoneworks #stonesteps #stonework

08.01.2022 Today I finished up this garden bed around a beautiful big tree, using sand stone I hand picked from Carey Gully quarry. Laid in a dry stacked style. I used old bricks on the back side of the wall as they will be hidden by dirt/garden. I laid stone work on the top 300mm of the back of the wall because no matter where you are looking from you will always see the rear of the opposite side. it is also capped with stone, I am really happy with the way it came up! - I threw dirt ...up against the bricks for the video but the Whole garden will now be back filled level to something like 200mm below the top of the wall, then planted. I have also run conduit under the footings for some lighting at night time and automatic watering can’t wait to see the final product #stonework #stonemason #sandstone #stonegardenbed #brandtstone See more

08.01.2022 Some rustic styled stone walls, with old sleepers from a jetty and bits and pieces of steel among to tie in with other features on the property, once a dirt hill now retained with lots of character ! #brandtstoneworks #stoneretaining #rustic

08.01.2022 Last week we finished up this second sister garden bed around the base of this tree, built with Carey gully sandstone. Again the garden will be backfilled and both will be planted #brandtstoneworks #gardenbed #stonegardenbeds #gardenfeature... #stonework See more

04.01.2022 The only limit is your imagination.. #stonework #brandtstone

04.01.2022 Chunky rustic stone retaining laid in dry stacked style to create a garden bed around the bottom of this tree, changing the look of the area so much with levels and gardens rather than the steep dirt hill which you couldn’t do much with as it was #stonework #stonemason #stoneretaining #stonegarden... #brandtstone See more

02.01.2022 We are blessed that @brandtstoneworks has had another amazing year and continued to grow in ways both Riley and I didn’t even vision at the start. We are all booked up for 2020, but if you have any jobs or ideas get in touch so we can start to make a plan , next year will be here before we know it. thank you to the people who support us. #brandtstoneworks

01.01.2022 rough, chunky, random, mixed kinds of stone, completely dry stacked. It’s less about the materials and more about the way you work it. This one come up nice and pretty and rustic. Again I really enjoyed the job, a cool way to retain the hill and tidy up a bit of mess on the side of this drive way #retainingwall #stonewall #stonework #drystack... #stomemason #brandtstone See more
