17.01.2022 So today our Prep classes made their way around our school looking at buildings and landscapes as part of their HASS unit with Mrs Hutchinson. I came back to my office to find this good looking bunch had taken over!! I had to quickly get Steele out of my chair, might not have had a job much longer if I didn't!! PS: We hope everyone has fantastic break!! Above all, stay safe, we can't wait to see you for Term 4!!

16.01.2022 What a beautiful day! Today for our final 'Transition to Prep' morning we went on a bear hunt. Would you believe we actually found a bear hiding in our forest!! So much fun! These little people are super excited to join us for Prep in 2021.
13.01.2022 Today signifies the end of our COVID-19 Learning@home!! Branyan Road State School would sincerely like to thank all the parents who facilitated learning at home during the last 5 weeks. Your willingness and perseverance to help learning at home succeed and also the resilience you showed to give this a go, is truly remarkable and inspiring. We as a school are truly in awe of what you have done!! Congratulations and I hope you are all celebrating like it is the end of your scho...ol year!! As we get ready to welcome all year levels back to Branyan, I would like to mention a small group of children who won't be walking through the gates Monday. They are our students with health conditions who are seen as vulnerable and need to continue the learning journey at home. Please know we will support you as a school and we will be thinking of you, we can't wait to welcome you back when the time comes and it is safe to do so. And let's not forget our parents who had to work. I had an email from one of these parents today to say how they never felt judged because they couldn't stay home. They always knew their child was safe and looked after, which provided them with peace of mind. That was our intention right from the start. To make sure all our students were supported and safe. Thank you our essential workers, who had to leave home every day to continue their jobs and keep things going!! More information about next week will come home in messages over the weekend, but for now, enjoy the end of Learning@home. Feel pride in what you have accomplished, and know the staff of Branyan Road think you have excelled, your report card reads 'A' for effort!! [email protected]!!!!
13.01.2022 Congratulations to our Branyan Road Rugby League team who this afternoon won the Division 3 COVID Cup by defeating St Mary's 22 - 4.

12.01.2022 ** Reminder- Prep 2021-Come and Play morning-Friday the 6th November @ 9:30am **
11.01.2022 Dear parents and carers, welcome to Semester 2 Thank you for the way you supported us to get our Semester underway. Your efforts helped us get our day underway with a minimum of fuss. Our children are back at school and learning, I truly appreciate the way you all went about this! As COVID19 restrictions continue to ease across the state, in line with the Queensland Government’s Roadmap for easing restrictions, Queensland state schools are also continuing the journey back to... normality in alignment with Queensland Health advice. Some medically vulnerable students or students who live with medically vulnerable people, may need to continue to learn at home. Parents and carers with a child/children in this category are encouraged to contact me to discuss arrangements to support your child/ren to continue their learning. All other students are expected to return to on-site learning. From today, pre COVID19 student attendance requirements will apply to students other than those who are medically vulnerable or living with medically vulnerable people. In cases where students have not returned to school or reengaged with education following the period of learning at home, we will work with parents/carers to support students who have not returned to onsite learning to return to school safely. Queensland’s strong health response to COVID19 means we’re well positioned for recovery and a return to students continuing their learning journeys onsite in Queensland state schools. Kind regards Geoff Fitzgerald
11.01.2022 **What fun we have had today for 'Silly Sock Day'! Thanks to everyone who participated to support the Year 6 camp!**
11.01.2022 Drop of and pick up Week 6 onwards For Prep and Year 1 Drop off for Prep and Year 1: These year levels will continue to access the school from the back gates of Tomato Island Road. Parents are asked to follow the same procedures that have been in place for the last two weeks. All students and parents are to meet staff at the stairs to the hall. From here, if students can make their own way to their classes, they can do so. If parents need to drop students off at classes, they... need to ask a staff member and receive a direction when this is safe to do so. We don’t want parents congregating in front of prep classes in the walkway, or the front of the yEra 1 block. Parents are asked to leave the school grounds as soon as they have dropped off students. Pick Up for Prep and Year 1: The same as previous 2 weeks, parents are to wait, socially distancing at the seats outside the hall or the grassed area outside Prep. Students will be brought out after the 3pm bell. Parents are asked to leave the school grounds as soon as possible.
10.01.2022 Today we say THANK YOU to our teachers. To you all, happy World Teachers' Day!!
09.01.2022 Day 1 at year 6 camp was a ball!! Everyone enjoyed the WetSlide park activities at Campialba - beach volleyball, basketball, pool, air hockey, table tennis and more as well as the Mini Olympics. Students are currently safe and sound on Fraser Island having a great time. Boys were the best sleepers last night, I'm sure the girls will catch them tonight after a day at Fraser Island. All are well and our wonderful Branyan kids are being awesome!!!
09.01.2022 Today we want to say a special thanks to all of our wonderful Teacher Aides Thankyou for the amazing work you do in our school each and every day! We truly appreciate all that you do.
09.01.2022 Prep Enrolments for 2021 being taken now!
08.01.2022 Contact with teachers: We also need to make sure we are helping our teachers with social distancing. We will not be having parents go to, or into classes. If you need to contact teachers, like the last five weeks, please do so through email or Seesaw. We will not see parents entering the school to go to classrooms. We now have ways through technology to communicate effectively and efficiently, so please utilise them. Thank you.
07.01.2022 School assembly is back starting this Friday. Unfortunately, due to social distancing requirements we can't have parents attend like we did pre-Covid. We will be inviting some parents, that will be parents of those students who are student of the week award winners. By doing this we will be able to socially distance parents at the back of the hall. Teachers will make contact with parents who will receive an invite. If you will be attending assembly, you must sign in at the office first and then make your way to the hall where you will be required to socially distance yourself from other adults. Thank you for your understanding of these requirements for assembly.
07.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder school holidays start this Saturday 27 June 2020.
06.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 They went with songs to the battle, they were young, Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,... They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them. Lest we forget.
05.01.2022 This evening Branyan Road's journey in the Battle of the Schools came to an end at the hands of Norville. Our team of Siennah, Seb, and Seth did a great job in what was a wonderful battle to be edged out 14 to 9. Our terrific trio answered some pretty hard questions to stay in the game right to the end. The best part however, was seeing how much they enjoyed being part of the competition and how they grew as a team through their 3 rounds. We are so proud of the way you repres...ented our school, you should certainly be proud of yourselves for the way you participated and conducted yourselves and you never gave up!! True Branyan students!!! We would like to say thank you to all the parents and family members who came to support our team over the 3 rounds. A big thanks to our teachers Mrs Fitz and Mr Bethune for taking the time to help us train and coming along to each battle. A big thanks to the sponsors Stockland, Hitz 93.9/ 4BU and Queensland Computers for making this wonderful event happen and allowing our kids and our school to be part of the journey. A special thanks to Corey Pitt, General Manager of Hitz 93.9/ 4BU for being instrumental in driving this competition and allowing Bundy students the chance to take centre stage. Branyan will be back, bigger and better in 2021!!! See more

Pick Up for Years 2 to 6: All students must exit through the front entrance. Parents are asked to wait at the front of the school outside the gates and students will be directed to you. Bus students of course will wait for buses and after school care for their transport. Again, parents are not to enter the school unless essential, and like drop off, you must make your way to the office.
