21.01.2022 This crazy cool girl has come into season! She wasn't due for another 4 weeks give or take but thats mother nature for you. We have no control over when the girls come into season, nor do we know exactly how many puppies they will have if the are mated.... For those who don't completely understand the reproduction cycles of a female dog then here is a quick run down to help you. A normal female will cycle every 6 months, and during their heat cycles they have a window of ovulation and when they will be receptive to a male. The gestational period is 63 days give or take a day or 2. Once puppies are born, they legally cannot leave a breeder before 8 weeks, some breeders may hold back puppies an extra few weeks for various reasons. This is why breeders have a waiting list and you could potentially have to wait up to 12 months for a puppy! Sometimes longer... Dont expect to contact a breeder and have a puppy in a few weeks time. We have laws governing the ethics, health and well being of our females as to when and how often they can have litters. We personally plan every mating with careful consideration to the conformation, temperament and health. There are so many things to consider when planning a litter, and usually takes us 6 to 12 months in advance. Each puppy is carefully selected to suit the families who are approved. This is our way of making sure we do our due diligence to ensure each family is aware of what it takes to have a German Shepherd as part of the family. We are not a first come first serve breeder. So if you dont like answering all of our questions on our puppy application, dont complain. There is a reason we ask for alot of information. FYI - This will most likely be our only litter this year and are not planning any further litters until late 2022

19.01.2022 One of my favourite photos of Brad and Wilson taken back in 2000, I think. I look back on this photo occasionally to remind me of the type of dogs that we continually strive to produce. We will never have another Wilson, but its important to have goals to strive towards.

11.01.2022 We thought we would do an appreciation post for Performadog & IPurr Ultra Premium Pet Food All our dogs are proudly raised and fed Performadog and we are amazed at the lovely comments we get from people when out walking and on social media about how shiny and healthy their coats are. As some of you may know, and we are completely transparent about this, we have had some concerning issues feeding other brands of food. Since we made the decision to switch back to Performadog... earlier this year, all of our dogs are now looking fantastic and the clarity they have during training shows. We are not paid nor do we receive any incentives from Perforamdog, the only kick backs we receive is having access to ask Bill, (Performadogs Nutritionist) who happily and promptly answers any questions or concerns we have in regards to the health and well-being of feeding our dogs a wholesome and truly complete nutrional diet. Oh and being able to supply Performadog to our puppy families and the general public in our local area. What more could you want from an Aussie owned and made dog food!

10.01.2022 So last Friday and Saturday we entered a show and Vader and his owner Jhys joined us for their first show It was a beautiful weekend but we were exhausted afterwards. The low down is, the judges liked Vader better than Karma which surprised the crap out of me because Vader is pure black. He beat her for best Minor puppy in Breed x 3... Vader's results are 1st Minor Dog of breed Reserve Challenge Dog Minor Dog in Breed For all 3 shows Karma 1st Minor Bitch of breed For all 3 shows Letti had a run on Friday but didn't place due to the number of entries so she sat out the 2 shows on Saturday. Thanks for joining us Jhys and we look forward to seeing Vader out in the ring in the future, just not against his sister

Natan vom Busecker Schloss SCHHIII FH KK1a Nikie as he was affectionately known as, he stood at stud in the USA for many years and one of the more memorable sons from Sargus vom Busecker.... Nikie is behind alot of great working dogs from Vonforell Kennels in Victoria and produced a female Vonforell Rebecca who happens to be the mother of Wilson (Cendraise Finn). Thanks to technology, we have frozen semen stored from Nikie who sadly passed away in 1998. A huge thankyou to Kris and Tonia at Von Forell Kennels for allowing us the opportunity to incorporate his bloodlines in our breeding program.

06.01.2022 WOW! Letti, Vader, Karma & Spyro spent the weekend strutting their stuff in the show ring and every single one of them did us all very proud. Thanks from coming down with Spyro Jade & Luke. We must have looked like crazy dog people with our shepherds just lounging around our gazebo's at various times during the day. This is a sight not often seen at dog shows and we did get lots of compliments... the dogs must have filled their pat quota for the next month at least.... I really wish some judge would learn to internalize their facial expressions regardless of their personal feelings towards an exhibit and exhibitor, not all of us do this just for an accolade and some handlers dont have the physical capabilities due to injuries but we do our best. We are all so very pleased and impressed with how our dogs handled 4 shows over 3 days, they gave us their best efforts in an environment that is surround by stress and chaos Now for some much needed recovery time and catch up on some sleep

I cant stop laughing, sorry Jhys They were about to be sent off to be transferred and he had plenty of other material that could have been chewed on but he chose the important documents. 02.01.2022 Cendraise Finn, born in 1998 and is the reason we started breeding German Shepherds. This is the dog that ignited a passion in us that will never die. Wilson was an outstanding boy that will always hold a special place in our hearts, even more so for Brad.... Brad graduated from his Military Police Dog Handlers course with Wilson in 1999 and they worked together for many happy years. Always passing their assessments with flying colours, Wilson would turn himself inside out quite literally to please Brad. Wilson was affectionately nicked named the God dog because of his abilities and eagerness to learn at a rapid pace, I believe it had something to do with the compatibility and strong bond that Brad and Wilson shared. Brad would spend as much time as he possibly could with Wilson, even on his days off or during leave he would make the time to go and see him at work. Yes in the very early days of our relationship I took a back seat sometimes but in all honesty I didn't mind, I could see just how special this dog meant to him and to be honest, I was completely scared of German Shepherds back then due to a traumatic incident that had happened to me when I was a young girl Wilson even saved Brads life one time whilst they were away on a live fire exercise, Wilson zigged when he should have zagged and someone fired a round from behind them which narrowly missed Brads head. Had it not been for Wilson, i very much doubt Brad would still be here with us today. I remember the very first time I met Wilson, it is was a life changing day and one I will never forget, but will save that story for some other time.
