Looks like a great start to spring, with temperatures even up to 26 on Thursday If you’ve been thinking about an awning for your outdoor area, please get in touch. Our retail showroom may be closed but we are still here to answer all your questions, and can also work externally on your homes during this lockdown period.

25.01.2022 We are looking for a junior to join our team! Position is for a casual factory hand for the coming months, through to Christmas and possibly longer and is based in South Geelong. On the job training will be provided, but some experience with power tools would be advantageous. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more!

25.01.2022 New storage racks installed today and we’ve already manage to almost fill them. We have so much stock arriving daily at this time of year. With only 11 weeks until Christmas things are really starting to get busy. Thanks to APC Storage Solutions for prompt, efficient service!

24.01.2022 No we aren’t joking... now is definitely the time to get your orders in if you are looking for installation of awnings, blinds or Crimsafe pre Christmas. While we are not setting up the Christmas tree just yet, we do advise getting your orders in to guarantee we can get them made in time. By the way, how cute is our Santa? We have no idea who made him or even how old he is, but he’s a treasured part of our history. He safely made the move to South Geelong a few weeks ago!

24.01.2022 Today is a very significant milestone in the history of Brax - today David Bailey celebrates an astounding anniversary of 55 years of working at Brax. Wow! It's the only job he has ever known - starting out as a very young man all those years ago. So many of our customers will know David, as he's been installing our blinds into the homes of our region for such a long time, and more recently has been mentoring our new installers and factory staff, passing on his knowledge and ...expertise. David is a highly skilled and valued employee, and we are extremely grateful for his many years of service and loyalty. We really cannot thank him enough. We have managed to find a few pics of his years at Brax to share with you all.

23.01.2022 We are very excited to be collaborating with Cinnamon Stephens to offer our customers exclusive, custom designed and made security doors, that really are a piece of art. Still a work in progress, but this one will be on display in our showroom very soon.

21.01.2022 Did you know Shae went on maternity leave earlier this year? Back in May she had a little girl, Layla, who is just the sweetest little bubba. The past week or so, Shae has been back at Brax, helping us out as we are trying to find the right person for our installations co-ordinator role. She turns up arms laden with a baby, and all the necessary accessories, always with a smile. She works away while Layla chats and naps in the background... It’s a temporary solution, while we are recruiting the right person for this role... but we are so very grateful that Shae has so willingly come in to help us out. Good staff really are worth their weight in gold. Thanks so much Shae!

21.01.2022 45 years ago today a young lad by the name of David Marsden commenced working at Brax. Throughout his years of service, David has held a number of roles, working in the factory and as an installer, but he is most well known as one of our Sales Consultants, a position he has held for many years now. So many of our customers ring up and ask if David could please call out and measure for some new blinds. David brings his own unique wit and humour to our workplace, and he can oft...en be heard singing tunes that most of us have never even heard of. It's pretty safe to say his taste in music is quite eclectic. He does love music and having a good stereo is always his number one requirement for his company car. Back in the day he sported a seriously good mullet too! Congratulations David on achieving this milestone. We are grateful for your continued loyalty and support to our family business over all these years, and really do appreciate all that you do. Cheers, Dave & Cal.

In amongst the hustle & bustle of our busiest time of year we stopped to remember and honour our servicemen, those who have served and those who continue to serve for our great country. We are truly humbled by their commitment. Lest we forget.
