25.01.2022 We had a couple of guys stay with us last night who compete in smoking bbq competitions Australia wide. They wanted somewhere special to cook, plate up and show what they can cook and prepare on their smoking bbqs and liked the look of our surroundings and booked in. Dan and Steve cooked beef brisket, chilli mussels, tomohawk steaks, pulled pork, chicken wings and much more. ... A professional photographer took photos for promotional purposes while Alli and I got to taste what they were cooking. Dan and Steve will be competing again with others opposite the Chidlow Tavern (Chidlow townsite) on 14 and 15 September if you would like to sample some exceptional bbq cooking. A $5.00 entry fee applies, then you can sample delights from all in the cook off. Dan sells the bbqs, smoke beads, rubs and marinades, so if you are in the market for a bbq that can not only cook your best steak but can create your Christmas ham, check them out on the 14th and 15th.

20.01.2022 An amazing rainbow formed over Bolindavale farm (opposite us) after a nice shower of rain. This is for you Toni, keep safe in USA.
19.01.2022 We have a family of 5 Kookaburras living with us this year. This one paid us a visit today. He sat there for a while looking around before swooping down to the lawn for his catch. I guess we have one less worm in the lawn now.
19.01.2022 We may not be having any guests at the moment but a family of Kookaburras have been visiting us every evening
18.01.2022 Our neighbours from Bolindavale took this picture from the top of their farm looking over Braybrook bnb and over farmland with the rain rolling in. Great photo. Deb has a soap, candle and homewares shop in the original Bolindavale homestead. Great Mothers Day gifts.
18.01.2022 I swept out the hay shed today and gave the steers the loose hay as a treat. This is what they thought of that.
18.01.2022 Another beautiful bride and her bridesmaids stayed with us to get ready for her wedding at Millbrook Winery in Jarrahdale.
18.01.2022 What a difference 4 years makes.
17.01.2022 A last minute booking last night turned out to be an interesting one. A couple traveled from Kalgoorlie to Mandurah to collect this old hearse to take back to Kalgoorlie. It has been in a vintage car museum in Mandurah but is now going home to its owner, the Kalgoorlie funeral director.
17.01.2022 Fresh Braybrook produce.
17.01.2022 Well what a crazy time we we have all experienced over the past few months. As you know we closed our BnB (booking sites) when COVID took hold through to the end of September as I (Evan) will also be having a knee replacement at the end of July so a bit of recovery time is also needed. We have not been entirely guest free during this time, we have had our regular - Bob stay with us once a month for work purposes and lately a few returning guests have booked for local birthdays etc. we are looking forward to October and onwards welcoming guests back again. Bookings have started again, weddings are back in the air. Thats us at the bottom of the hill with the red roof we also had a group of pink and grey galas visit us the other morning. Cheers Evan.
16.01.2022 We sometimes get hang gliders launching off the hill opposite us and we had 2 today. Its the orange dot I have circled. The wind wasnt in his favour today as his flight was short lived probably only 2 minutes. I have seen them get terrific lift and be gliding for a half hour or more and gliding higher than the Telstra tower on top of the hill.
16.01.2022 We had a birthday here at Braybrook today. Allis horse Presley turned 10 today. He was super excited to see us this morning and after receiving his birthday present of a hand full of carrots, he spent the day in his paddock munching on the green grass. Horse heaven.
16.01.2022 A bit misty at Braybrook BnB this morning.

11.01.2022 Wishing all of our past, present and future guests, a wonderful Christmas for 2020 and a bright 2021 filled with love and laughter. Merry Christmas everyone
10.01.2022 It is with sadness we have decided to close Braybrook Boutique Bed and Breakfast for the next few months. We are looking to reopen in September. With Alli suffering Asthma and our new beautiful grandson Fletcher visiting occasionally, we thought social distancing was important. We have had some cancelations because it was for wedding accomodation, a couple from Singapore cancelled for obvious reasons and a couple of Easter holiday family bookings have also been canceled. Looking at the bookings between now an the end of August, they are for wedding accomodation so I expect they will be canceled in the next few days. We will miss our guests, the chats and the brides but once the world cures its self of this awful virus we along with everyone else can get back to some sort of normality. Stay safe everyone.
10.01.2022 All set for a wedding today here at Braybrook bnb. If your looking for a ceremony venue, we can accommodate.
