19.01.2022 Farm update - we took a pretty huge punt planting after the first rain post drought with a limited profile. Luckily we received some pretty huge deluges shortly after and the sorghum is growing beautifully. All three of our downs properties were planted with a loss on one of our farms due to flood but we shan’t ever complain about rain and we are grateful for the incredible crops that are thriving.

13.01.2022 I would love to post about what we are doing right now but it feels so cheap when our beloved country is ablaze. Massive love to @celestebarber who has raised over $400K in 8 hours to help our fire department who’s funding has been diminished over the last 10 year shit show our political system has gone through. Serious no confidence vote from me, but serious weather changing miracles are needed for tomorrow for so many of the regions affected . Anyone who tells you the worl...d is full of terrible humans could spend 1 second with the farmers in their own tractors fighting to protect their animals and homes on the front line tonight. Godspeed, we are all with you and your bloody magnificent. Please stay safe. And to all the farmers that don’t even have a blade of grass to be threatened by bush fire who are waking up with dust and working tirelessly to keep their heads above water, we love you so much. Photo taken on my drive home 2 months ago when fires weren’t that far away from us. Big love to all x See more

09.01.2022 I love a good before and after! First Photo was taken when we signed the contract on The Beach Farm December 18. Second photo was taken in May after we bailed, applied compost and disc planted a mixed Pasture into the ground. Third photo was July, pasture still growing well. It’s been a year of complete dichotomy, farming in two completely different climates. As our 3 downs properties lie dormant due to drought, I am beyond grateful we took the plunge and diversified. We have learnt so much and still have much to learn but it’s nice to see progress.

02.01.2022 A little bit about my Black Angus Beauties - cattle to us are a product of regenerative agriculture, we believe ruminants play a huge role in regeneration of landscape and we utilize them accordingly. Our herd consists of generations of Black Angus mums and babies, we have kept the heifers and they have become mums as they mature. They are viewed by us as pets, we now have 100. They are organically managed using homeopathy, essential oil showers, diatomaceous earth, free choi...ce mineral supplementation, aloe Vera, kelp, organic garlic supplementation and much more, they are never fed grain. Last year they moved from the Downs to the Beach Farm due to drought, it has been an intense change but they are doing incredibly well. We ideally like to sell steers direct off mum we choose not to wean early, if at all. The product is incredible, tender, well loved beef. We don’t do stress and they often turn up literally on my door step when it rains... this is the way we choose to do beef. If you would like to taste the product, visit our website. In the meantime they will continue helping the landscape, making biodynamic preps and living their best lives. Our Angus cows are currently in calf to a #wagu bull, we are hoping to provide a well marbled organic completely grass fed product to the market soon.
