25.01.2022 Hi all. Its been a while since our last post but we have been flat. Last post we were loaded up for a run up the line to blackall and out to Isisford. After successfully installing nearly 60kw of solar we returned home for a week or so off and loaded up again. Half the crew headed to Quilpie then to Barcaldine and the surrounding area. Jericho, Alpha, Muttaburra and Longreach- installing over 100kw in total. The other half of us went east to Toowoomba to install a little gri...d connect and were in the middle of a 18kw Off-Grid. Photos coming of that so stay posted. We also finished building a new custom trailer for bore work and bought a crane truck to help carry the load. We also still have a little 1.7t Kubota excavator for sale. Down to 20k with purpose built trailer. See earlier posts. So with winter done get in early with solar bores and air cons. 22.01.2022 18kW Off-Grid solar system. We have just returned home to Charleville after having successfully completed this job down near Toowoomba. Our client was on the grid but decided to switch it off. Literally #gotoffthegrid. Here we used the usual suspects. 1 x 7.5kw 48V Selectronic multimode inverter, 2 x 8.2kw fronius solar inverters, 60 x 300 Hyundai panels, Sonnenschein sealed lead acid batteries, about 100kWh worth. 20.01.2022 Northern Territory run done for 2019. Were back in Charleville after a big few weeks up north. On one station we replaced all the old overhead cables and put new ones underground. Upgraded a few switch boards, ran power into a brand new set of cattle yards and carried out a few electrical repairs and maintenance around the homestead. On another couple of Stations we checked out a couple old Off-grids that need renewing, hooked up some air cons and a couple of accommodation d...ongas. Good job done all round and lined a few more up for next year. Now were home and gearing up for the summer. Using Australian made Selectronic Multimode inverters for the batteries and load and their new Select Sun grid tie inverters for the 237 solar panels. All 3 phase providing power from the sun during the day and then from the 260kWh 120V battery bank during the night. All connected to a back up generator for a rainy day. 15.01.2022 Another month done for the year and it’s not slowing down. The last few weeks has been mainly solar with a few air cons and a couple underground’s to mix it up. The solar was mainly in Charleville (nice to stay home for a change). We installed a 20kw, 25kw and two 30kw for the Murweh Shire Council. Finished off the Air conditioning system at the new SQRH building up at the hospital. Installed some temp power for a new house build near Augathella. ... Prepped some In-slab lighting back out at the Eromanga Natural history museum. and installed a Solar Sliding gate. All in a months work. Next up we’re everywhere. Lately we installed a little Lorentz dam pump just out of Charleville. Continuing the rough-in of electrical and AC in the Eromanga natural history museum. Replaced some batteries in an old Off-Grid solar (13yrs) down near Bollon and finished our part (Air conditioning) of the new Medical training centre up at the Char...leville hospital. Upgraded a switch board at the Charleville Showgrounds, installed solar in Thargo, Cooladdi, Hungerford and Quilpie. Roughed-in the air cons at new medical training centre in town and started to Rough-in the electrical, air con and solar at the Eromanga Natural history museum. Amongst all that we’ve also been installing a few split air cons, repairing hot waters and carrying out a bit of maintenance work. 04.01.2022 Weve just returned from long week out at Boulia. We moved an off-grid system out of a tin shed and into an ex-refrig container. Much better place for it to be. With scorching summer temps out there this system was just getting flogged. So now it should perform better and last a bit longer. The other job was an off-grid upgrade. We replaced the old #selectronic RPS inverter for a new SP pro inverter also by Selectronic, added 12kw of solar and integrated the existing DC coupled solar. We also installed a few ACs and wifi throughout the homestead. 01.01.2022 The boys from Brayley Electrical have just returned this week from a few days down in Bourke. Overall we installed just over 70KW around that area. Pretty good week really. Below is only some of what we installed. Although were in the middle of what might be a proper winter for a while, now is the time to start getting geared up for Summer.
