03.01.2022 Hello good people. This is just a cautionary notice. Today I received a phone call from Telstra, claiming that my internet or computer had a malware virus on it and was causing problems which had been picked up in gilbert st. Telstra centre. They asked me to open up my run menu on the computer and type in an email address and this would fix the problem. It wasn't until I refused to do this and asked why a technician hadn't been sent out to fix this problem that I started to doubt the sincerity of this call. They hung up, but then kept repeatedly calling back. I phoned my service provider and they said there was no problem with my computer/internet and warned me not to give any access or information to them, luckily I didn't get hacked or anything like this. Just be so careful people. Or atleast not naive like I can be at times.
