24.01.2022 Another PROGRESS story Kim has never touched a barbell in her training up until a few months ago. As a taller lady, she found the front squat challenging to hit the correct depth. Like many of us, she also experienced some wrist pain and tightness in the front rack position due to some mobility restrictions. ... Over the last few weeks we’ve been working hard to increase her range of motion in her squat and feel more comfortable holding the bar in the front rack. This video speaks for itself. Her movement has improved drastically and she looks extremely smooth moving up and down with her squat. Progress comes in all shapes and forms, this is a huge win for Kim. Movement quality is always a challenge but once you master it, you’ve got it forever. Keep up the great work Kim

13.01.2022 PROGRESS Judith started with us a few weeks ago and while she was full of enthusiasm, she was having some challenges with sit ups. In fact, she couldn’t do one so we modified them to crunches (which we do for many of our members).... A couple of weeks down the track and not only can she do one but in today’s workout she did 10 in a row AND she did it for 5 sets We are all looking to progress in different aspects of our fitness but it’s always nice to shine a light on those around us when they see success Great stuff Judith

04.01.2022 Member Testimonial Thank you Brooke ‘After having kids and not putting my health and fitness at the top of my priority list for the past 6 or 7 years I really needed something that was unique. Break-thru Active is the kind of place that I have been looking for for the past 20 years and there’s no other gym like it. ... They have made me feel welcome from the very first session and took the time to understand exactly where I was at, where I wanted to be and continue to help me improve. The early morning, small group workouts are perfect for me and I’ve made new friends which is one of the best things to come out of my experience so far. I’m so glad I finally found the perfect gym for me’

04.01.2022 Member of the year countdown . Honourable mention - Mark . Mark was introduced to us at the beginning of the year by his daughter Kate who was already a member. Much to his surprise, he enjoyed his trial week and decided to join.... . Covid put a halt into his gym progress but during this period he remained extremely active and carried this momentum once we reopened in June. . Mark has lost 5kg, improved his strength and fitness while building a new healthy routine of coming to the gym after work each day. . He has been recognised by his fellow members as someone who always gives his full effort and a positive attitude. . At 54, Mark is a real life example that ‘age is just a number’. . We love seeing him and Kate work together in our partner workouts. Sometimes, even Kate is hard pressed keeping up with him! . Congratulations on an awesome year, can’t wait to do it again in 2021! See more
