21.01.2022 Right-E-O Breakaways, coming trips include Loveday 21-22nd Sep, Argadells for the Oct long weekend 5-7th, Wilangi Oct 26-27th. Make sure you advise Neil of your intent to attend these trips, so we can secure the numbers going. Also a reminder that membership fees are due, for all club members that haven't sorted those out yet.

20.01.2022 This weekend the Breakaways are off to Ngarkat following the Gold Escort Route. Bookings are required so if you want to attend hit up Scotty ASAP!

17.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! This Sunday we are heading to the Murray Mouth for a day trip. Contact Steve Mules for the details if you want to come and haven't already. The trip to Moonta in late March has also been cancelled due to lack of interest.

17.01.2022 Well, our Geranium trip (puppy springs) went off with only a minor hiccup. If you love sand driving, we're off to Peake (Talinga downs) next month. Hear all about these, and other trips, at our monthly meeting tonight at the Modbury West Scout Hall from 7:30pm. There'll be cake

17.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! August Meeting is tomorrow night! COVID restrictions will still apply so if you are feeling unwell please stay home. Hear about recent trips to Ngarkat and Peake as well as get the info on upcoming trips to Willangi and the Barossa as well as our October long weekend trip to Warraweena.... 7.30pm, at the Modbury West Community Hall, Capulet Crescent, Modbury. 17.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! For those who missed last weeks meeting we have a couple of trips coming up. Next weekend we are off to Mt Crawford National Park - Aaron has booked a site for his group, if keen please contact Aaron for site location, you will then be required to contact National Parks for availability of a site nearby. 4th - 5th July Then 18th - 19th of July we have the old club favourite Geranium/Dorado Downs. Aaron also leading there so contact him if you wish to attend.... The trip to Saunders Gorge (25th-26th July) has been CANCELLED.

13.01.2022 Hi Breakaways, If you haven’t heard, South Australia is going into an almost total lockdown at midnight tonight for six days; which takes us to mid next week. It is then expected that further restrictions will be in place for the next eight days. Without knowing what those restrictions are, we will be cancelling the end of year BBQ at the club rooms next Wednesday (25 Nov 20) and plan on having a teleconference meeting as we have done with previous meetings during lock down... (details will follow in a separate meeting). So why don’t we aim to have a virtual Christmas BBQ instead. Throw a snag or burger on the BBQ before the meeting, crack a few beers or bottle of wine, and we may be able to have a laugh or two over the phone. One question though: Does anyone not have access to the internet at home or have limited connection that they can’t view a presentation? Look forward to talking to you all. Please stay safe and sane. 13.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! The 2021 calendar has been updated on the website. Still a few trips with leaders TBA including a few easy ones that would be good for first time trip leaders. Have a think which one you could do ready for next meeting. Next up is a day trip to the Murray Mouth on February 21st. If you want to come along for an easy day of driving contact Steve Mules for the details.

13.01.2022 The Breakaways are off to Loveday 4x4 Adventure Park this weekend! Hit up Neil for more details if you wish to attend. Here is Greg sending it in the Blutrol on last years trip! (Was also sent for some paint and panel afterwards...)

13.01.2022 Ok Breakaways, unfortunately we'll have to cancel next weekends trip to Willangi due to lack of member commitment. Make sure you register your interest for future trips so this doesn't reoccur, and ensure you speak up at trip planning meetings if dates and venues dont suit. In other news, a reminder that the normal November BBQ has been moved to trial it in October, so our next meeting on 30th Oct will be the BBQ meeting. Make sure you get into Yvonne ASAP to register the number of attendees so we can put on the right amount of meat!! Will you be bringing a salad to share or a dessert?? And don't forget it kicks off at 7pm for this one, but feel free to come a little early to help set up.

10.01.2022 G’Day Breakaways AGM and Meeting is tonight! There will still be COVID restrictions in place for the meeting. Below is the info about the restrictions from Rudy. Please make sure you read them before attending. It is sad to see that the second wave of COVID 19 has hit Victoria and Australia now has over 4700 active cases of COVID-19. As with last month’s meeting we have a Covid Safe Plan as required by legislation. Pertinent points within that plan are as follows:... With 2 square metres required per person (last meeting it was 4) we will not run the risk of having too many people at the meeting so please attend. Remember to stay at home if feeling unwell. Just don’t forget to nominate yourself for one of the positions below if you can’t make the meeting. As a reminder, we will still need to keep 1.5m away from each other. Hand shaking and hugs aren’t allowed; sorry. We need to avoid having shared plates of food (rules out supper, but we will still have a break). I’ll provide hand sanitiser near the entrance. I can be fined up to $5000 if the above is breached. See you all there!

09.01.2022 Great weekend in Loveday for the Breakaways. The weather wasn’t too bad and the camping was beautiful with plenty of fun had on the tracks. Got my karma for poking fun at Greg, where did you go for that paint and panel? Happened on the same hole too. Find out all about it at the meeting on Wednesday. I expect it will be teleconference again but keep your eye on your emails and here for the details!

06.01.2022 Alrighty Breakaways, this coming Saturday we'll be heading to the Morgan Quarry. Get onto Brenton for details if you're not already on the trip list, or jot your name down at Wednesdays meeting. Come for a cheeky day trip, or stay the night down the river with us to escape the city for the weekend.

04.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! The club is off to Peake this weekend, a great property to learn your car, what it can and can't do and have plenty of fun doing it. I think Brian still has the flight record from back in 2014, anyone want to try to beat it this weekend?... Contact Greg if you want to attend.

02.01.2022 G'Day Breakaways! This weekend we are heading to Bushys Tracks N Camping for some sand driving! Been a long time since the club has been there. 14th-15th November. With Deep Creek cancelled this is the last trip before Christmas at Normanville and the break. If you have not already said you are coming and want to contact first time trip leader Chris or send a message to the page for the details. See you there!
