24.01.2022 "You can't do everything for pay. People do things because they want to do it or because they love to it or they feel a sense of obligation to do it, thats both in the family and the community. If you can support a organisation like this a small subscription or donation can be helpful" You've listened to him throughout the pand...emic.. best not to stop now! Subscribe on 9260 9210. This morning on RTRFM 92.1 we welcomed Mr 86% himself, Premier Mark McGowan swung by for his now traditional Radiothon chat. But this year is not like any other year. The Premier has guided the state through the worst of the Covid pandemic and we were happy to welcome him into the studio to talk about how RTRFM coped and adapted during lockdown times. 12.01.2022 If you were to look through the archives of the RTRFM CD Library it is possible you will more than likely find every WA band that has gone on to 'make it big'. From the crayon drawn first single from Tame Impala, the CDR of Jebediah, the first demo of Stella Donnelly, POND's first albums (and more than likely Mink Mussel Creek, which was the precursor to Pond and Tame), Eskimo Joe's first demo. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Sly Withers, Great Gable, Riley Pearce, Kuka and Space...y Jane also had their first loves (and plays) at the station. And this guy, METHYL ETHEL's first couple of release. This is the place they all got their first air play, their first go on the radio and potentially their first gig in front of a larger crowd. We can only be that conduit for bands to new audiences and larger crowds by continuing to be here. To continue to be here we need your subscriptions. If you are a band out there, we know 2020 has been tough but RTRFM 92.1 will continue to play your music and give you a go. SUBSCRIBE NOW 9260 9210 or support.rtrfm.com.au.
