10.01.2022 Developing mental health fitness in contemporary youth through community sport using a whole club - village - approach. Mental health among contemporary youth is critical. The role of sport can be pivotal in the development of youth mental health fitness. This research will investigate the role of the whole club in promoting mental fitness to its youth participants. It will develop strategies and resources engaging, parents, coaches and administrators to assist clubs in pro...moting youth mental health fitness. This project has been made possible thanks to the generous donation from the Para Hills Football Club and one we are proud to be funding as part of our seed grants along with the Orama Institute and Flinders University. A big thank you to Professor Murray Drummond and Dr Sam Elliott for taking part.

06.01.2022 PRIORITY FUNDING AREA: DEPRESSION The wisdom club: Ageing well through intergenerational connections. Meaningful connections, purposeful activity, and generativity are central to the mental health and wellbeing of older adults and can be supported through volunteer activities with an intergenerational focus. ... To this end, the aim for this research project is to co-design and pilot a new intergenerational project - The Wisdom Club - to create opportunities for purposeful engagement for older adults, enhance outcomes for disadvantaged children in the priority area of reading, and strengthen communities. Thank you to Associate Professor Tim Williams and Dr Monica Cations for being part of the video for us. We're excited to fund this project as part of Breakthrough's seed grants along with the Orama Institute and Flinders University.
