21.01.2022 You may have seen the press around about the new Weight Watchers (WW) app for children. Thank you to F.E.A.S.T. for this position statement which clearly summarise why this app is such bad news. WW (as they are now calling themselves) is clearly prioritising profit over ethics.

11.01.2022 Please take the time to read this article. Changes in language and perspective we can all make to destigmatize body size. Stigmatization happens when we pathologize weight or body size, encourage the fear of fat or dehumanize the individual. You may be surprised to find that encouraging weight loss or labeling someone "overweight" or "obese" is in fact weight stigma. Using words like "weight control" and "weight management" would also apply.
