19.01.2022 I’m just going to address the elephant in the room.... DEPOSITS aka NON REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEES People are freaking out about weddings being postponed and WH...AT HAPPENS NOW?! If you’re one of the people freaking out and thinking you’ll just cancel your wedding because this isn’t how you imagined things and all your vendors are going to give you all your money back and things are fine I have some bad news for you, they don’t have said money to give you! Deposits are taken to ensure the business you have booked is still around in a years time when you want to use them, they’ve been spent. Gone I tell ya. They’ve been spent on running a business. They’ve been spent on websites, accountants, bookkeepers, advertising, software subscriptions, rent, wages, tax, electricity, maintenance, education and courses. You’re stuck with us! By paying a deposit you’ve guaranteed you’ll use our service in a years time, and we’ve guaranteed we’ll be here by then. It hasn’t happened to me personally (my clients are the legendary kind) but there are people who have put it in the too hard column to reschedule and want to flat out cancel their wedding, threatening to leave negative reviews on businesses pages if they don’t get their money back. ARE YOU FOR REAL? Wedding vendors are (as are everyone else) rocking back and forth in the corner trying to figure out how they are going to survive for the next 6 months, and you’re threatening to leave a bad review? What happened to that lovely client who was so thrilled to have them booked for their day? Bring her back. Before you turn into a blood sucking zombie remember the situation everyone is in, not just you. Wedding vendors are already losing thousands by rescheduling weddings and are doing everything they can to ease the burden, you’re still human. Be nice x Hungry Hearts Co
