15.01.2022 Tony dropped off tropea onions and green garlic this morning. Full fridge with all the things from yesterday. We will pick more cucumbers after lunch because @chloeproud_ visited and bought them all.
13.01.2022 Cucumbers growing up fast now at Falls Farm. I predict Grown for Taste will be fruiting before ours so get ready to eat these surprisingly nutrition packed mini Lebanese smooth skinned beauties. Not long now as I’ve spotted tiny fruit on the vines as we’ve turned them a third time. It’s been at least 50deg in the greenhouse every day just about for a week so much water and much fussing has been going on to counterbalance. You may notice the black weed mat- it’s a compostable corn starch and so far we are loving it. The tomahawks (hook and string) are from @activevistagram
13.01.2022 Got plenty of this lavender available if anyone needs bunches for home culinary use or for accomodation decorations. This bunch is heading to Queensland to keep Great Grandma Day cheery in aged care to remind her of her holidays in Tassie.
10.01.2022 Smells amazing

07.01.2022 Carlos and I jumped on the perfect soil moisture conditions today and started turning green manure in that was mulched/ mowed a few weeks ago, then again this morning, then had 3-4 passes with ro-ho. The soil is mint after a long rest with old crops let go through their life cycle, sprinkled green manure seeds (rye grass, oats, mustards and spent seeds) and amendments- like gypsum, sulphate of potash, kelp powder. Next we will add green seas soil conditioner with some old chicken manure and pass again just before planting corn seed and seedlings and things in the next week or two. I am looking forward to fresh sweet corn next year.
06.01.2022 Full Fridge; Lots of bags of broadbeans and even hulled broadbeans for the folks with hands that struggle to do that job. New honey pots, Cauletti, salad, cooking greens, broccoli, broccolini, herbs, eggs and that sort of thing. Cucumbers days away.
03.01.2022 We decided they are so good we better pick some. These cucumbers are in the roadside stall now- and we topped up the local honey too. There’s broadbeans, salad, cooking greens, tropea onions, milks, eggs, broccoli, Cauletti, herbs- mints, chives, thyme... that sort of thing.
01.01.2022 Soon to be corn rows
