25.01.2022 Ahh, feeding the boy mid afternoon! One daughter had the phone and was taking happy snaps! The other daughter wanted to skip, so here I was untying the skipping rope whilst feeding the youngest son! (And enjoying being outside ona glorious day!)
24.01.2022 Question: My breasts are small, will they make enough milk? Short answer: Yes! Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, and all of them work just fine for breast...feeding. The size of a woman's breasts, whether large or small, doesn't reflect their milk-making capacity, nor how easy breastfeeding is. Breasts are made up of fatty tissue, glandular tissue and connective tissue. The size of your breasts reflects how much fatty tissue there is. It is the glandular tissue in your breasts which makes milk. Some mothers and babies breastfeed well from the start, some take a little more time and effort, regardless of breast size. And if you have large breasts? We have support for you too! https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au//common-concerns%E2/large

20.01.2022 We have so many enduring memories of mum to mum support, what are yours? A friend suggested I join ABA when pregnant with my first baby. I read copies of Essence magazine while he kicked away and rang the brand new National Breastfeeding Helpline when he was born. That little bub is about to start high school and now I am the mum on the other end of the phone! (Nicole, counsellor and mum of 4)

In line with our Covid-safe plan, we ask that you do not attend if you or your little ones are unwell and as always at ABA meetings, we take your name and contact details to keep track of who has attended. In line with government regulations, if there are more than 20 attending we will split into two groups. We will be outside with plenty of room, BYO food, picnic blankets and hand sanitiser.

02.01.2022 All the business of the holiday season, with new places, new people and unfamiliar activities, can be overwhelming for babies. Making sure baby stays close to mum is important, a baby carrier is a great way to keep baby close and allow easy access for breastfeeds and cuddles. It's ok to take your baby back from relatives if they start to get grizzly or need a breastfeed or cuddle from mum.
