Most breast pump manufacturers also recommend replacing them every 4-6 weeks (Picture is of the type of valve I sell - fits most Spectra and Medela flanges)

08.01.2022 A common question I get is 'will a Spectra pump work better than the other brand I'm using?'. My answer is - Every woman is different. For the majority it works a lot better than most brands found in baby shops and places like Target or Big W. For a small few it may not be better. And some women just don't respond pumps. That's why I have my rent to buy option. Most women know within a week if it is working for them or not. And if you want to keep it you can either keep paying it off or pay the amount owing

06.01.2022 I have been getting a few calls lately from people saying they have lost suction on 1 side. It will look like the back flow protector has a problem - it does not. It's the valve. Either change the membrane or change to a duckbill valve (Picture of a duckbill valve. I will see if I can find one of a membrane valve and past it in the comments)

To know what the right size is you might need to use some trial and error. Most pumps will come with a 24mm flange.
