25.01.2022 My final wedding of the weekend was absolutely spectacular. A venue I’ve never worked in, a stunning backdrop, a fantastic team of suppliers, a super-fun couple..., a beautiful daughter whose smile could light up the darkest room, and a marriage, that’s been delayed by 6months, finally went ahead!! Ashley and the team at @hyattregencysydney were so obliging and a delight to work with, I also had the pleasure of working alongside Kerstyn from @hireabridesmaid, Sophie from @imagesbysophie, Karan from @karanbawa.com_ , and although not a part of my ceremony I was thrilled to have had Nadia from @chaosandcouturecakes add her awesome talent to the event. This wedding was small, with so many family & friends stuck behind border closures, but no less love. I’m so thrilled to have been a part of this special event, with a super couple in this magic location!! The new rules as of today for NSW weddings are: - Weddings are limited to maximum 150 people subject to 4sqm rule (weddings in places of worship limited to 100 people)... - No dancing - No singing - Social distancing to be maintained - In-home gatherings limited to 20 people - Restaurant/Club/Pub bookings limited to 10 people - All attending guests must supply contact details for contact tracing purposes, to be held by the Celebrant So for my part, to comply with regulations and do my best to keep everyone safe & healthy, here is my COVID Safe plan... 1. All ceremonies will have a unique QR code which I will generate for each marrying couple - the code and instructions will be on display at the entrance to the ceremony area. - all guests must scan the code and fill out their details on their own phones - this eliminates the need for multiple people sharing pens for signing in. A QR reader is not required, the code can be scanned using the phone’s camera - all details will be kept by me for a period of 1 month, will be held confidential and will not be given to any 3rd party unless requested by NSW Government for contact tracing - this requirement is independent of the reception venue, so please be aware that guests will likely have to give their details twice 2. Hand sanitiser will also be at the entrance point of the ceremonies, all guests are to use the sanitiser prior to entering the area. I have deliberately chosen fragrance-free and non-sticky/tacky sanitiser 3. All of my equipment will be sanitised prior to the ceremony 4. I am supplying separate pens for each person signing ie. Couple, 2 x witnesses and celebrant. These pens will be sanitised prior to and after use. 5. Separate sanitised microphones will be given to the bridal couple for their vow exchange and to anyone doing a reading etc 6. The Bridal Party will be required to maintain social distancing unless all are from the same household 7. All guests are to maintain social distancing 8. I will not be encouraging a group photo at the end of the ceremony 9. Should numbers exceed 150 people, I will have to ask you as a couple to nominate people to move away from the ceremony area so that none of us (myself, yourselves or your guests) receive a fine should we be spot-checked... we don't want or need that extra expense! 10. Please request that if any guest is unwell they not attend. 11. If I am unwell in the lead up to or on the day of your wedding I will arrange for a back-up Celebrant who will conduct your ceremony as we have planned and as I have written.
