24.01.2022 POST NATAL // WE understand the changes that occur in your body post birth. Our NEW specifically designed POST NATAL Studio classes are the perfect place to RECONNECT, begin to STRENGTHEN & take back OWNERSHIP of your body after birth. These small group studio sessions have a max of FOUR mummas per session. Utilising the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair & Barrels we will guide you through your Pilates practice, building confidence in movement again. Exercises taught w...ill be safe and specifically address pelvic floor as well as aim to reduce Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) while strengthening all aspects of the body. Studio sessions with Kim, start Thursday 5th November and will provide valuable advice you can implement in your POST NATAL Matwork classes (group max of 8) with Tahlia on Monday’s, as well as in every day life So you continue to progress in strength and fitness. 22.01.2022 PREGNANCY PILATES // We often get asked which classes are suitable for Pregnancy aside from the specific Pregnancy Reformer or Matwork classes. We actually have quite a few classes that are perfectly safe & suitable for our Mum's-to-be. We've made a convenient list of the classes you can do while Pregnant at each studio. CLARKSON... 22.01.2022 WHAT TO WEAR & WHAT TO BRING These are the most common questions we get asked when a new Breathe Fam member books their first class. Here is our usual advice; Wear something comfortable (belts, buckles, zips and buttons can be uncomfortable to lay on and can scratch the reformer carriage). Bring your water bottle (because we could all use the prompt to drink more water). Bring a mat for all matwork/floor based classes.... Wear grip socks for Reformer classes (if you dont have any we sell some cute styles in reception at both studios). Additional info; Wash hands often. Make use of our hand sanitizer stations located on entry at both locations. Feel free time ask lots of questions. Having a buddy to go with or a friend you make at the studio really helps to encourage you to attend on a day that if it was just you, you might just pull the covers over your head! If your new to the area or havent a friend to make it when your free you can set up a little calendar tick sheet/ accountability check sheet. Try printing a grid of say 4 rows ...of 4 and tick each one off as you attend. Maybe in the last box (before you start again - you have a little reward?!). And who doesnt like rewards!!? 17.01.2022 WAITLIST // How does it work & WHY you DEFO SHOULD be using it DO you use our Waitlist? Have you got in to class from the waitlist?? How good is that feeling when you get in?! If you don’t waitlist read on for WHY to waitlist ... We are a boutique studio with small group classes (that’s the way we love to teach to maximise our personal approach & sense of community) which means at peak times our classes will book up. And that’s where the WAITLIST comes into play. Here’s how it works 1. To be in the running of nabbing one of those prized spots you gotta be on the WAITLIST! ’ , ! (So many people don’t use the waitlist or check back in and miss out when spots become available). 2. Make sure that in your contact settings you have selected TEXT only for reminders and schedule changes IF you can’t find how to change this then let us know in the comments and we can organise for you. THEN when a spot becomes available and you are next on the list, you will be notified via text. , . 3. 15.01.2022 KICKED OFF Day One of the Reboot Challenge yesterday With 25 classes to get through, day one saw most of the challenges in the studio at some point from 6am to 7:30pm. The beautiful Jade Baxter set the tone with an amazing online mindset and intentions setting pow wow! (And it’s always a wow when it comes to Jade) on our Private challenge FB group. ... 14.01.2022 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS // Our Two Week Trial has been SOOOO very popular even more than normal these last few weeks. We wanted to hit up some of our MOST asked questions about the trial 1). Does the trial begin from the day of purchase? The trial doesnt start counting down until your first booked class.... 2). Can I attend either studio? YES!! Any package or membership gives access to both studios. 3). Can I try Reformer classes only on the trial? YES you can use the trial however you like,but we do recommend trying as many different classes as suits to get a real sense of what we offer, what you like and how your body reacts. 4). Im an absolute beginner, what classes are suitable for me? Also do I need a 1:1 session first? We have a few Beginner specific reformer classes which we strongly recommend. CLARKSON Sat 9am & WANGARA Tue 4:30am + Sat 11am. As for private sessions we do offer this service and it is a great way to get familiar with the equipment, and find out about your body and its biases, strengths. So if you have an injury, specific goal or are nervous about going straight into group, this can be a great option. We hope this helps, if you have other questions please feel free to reach out. 14.01.2022 CELEBRATE & RECOGNISE the small wins Sometimes we have our eyes set on the horizon, for the next big win, goal, achievement. Constantly resetting the goal posts and not fully being PRESENT in those small steps that add up to make a big difference, means you really miss out on the progress you are already making. Progress can come in many forms and recognising these and becoming more mindful in your progress can be such a game changer in our gratitude and mental health/h...appiness as we continue our movement practice. The following are examples of progress in our bodies & mind as we embark on fitness goals; Booking classes regularly Not cancelling & staying determined in your pursuit of your goal. Feeling more confident in your movement. Breathing easier through class. Recovering faster after class. Taking the progressions in class. Moving with control, efficiency and intention. Feeling improvements in balance, strength, flexibility. Feeling more connection with your body through movement, in abs, adductors, upper back extensors etc. Reducing pain and discomfort in previously painful or uncomfortable activities. So many little wins. Have you been mindful in your movement practice, do you need to check in and recognise your progressions from the start? And give your self a Pat on the back gf?! Next time you are in class take a moment to be mindful and celebrate those progressions. See more

12.01.2022 SAVE // following on in our GOAL tip series we have: TIP 2 ! WHY are you doing this in the first place. Why did you search for Pilates studios in your area? Why do you want to change something in your life? Why do you want to improve your general fitness mentally and physically with Pilates??? UNDERSTANDING your why and living it, reminding yourself of why you started the journey, will give you that motivational boost you need and will help support you ...through to achieving and reaping the benefits. Motivation can not be all the time, you will be tested and in these moments, having a resounding WHY will help give you determination when motivation decreases. YOU KNOW you will feel better once youve completed your workout so try these little hacks to keep your WHY present... 1. Have a picture or quote that resonates with you as your phone screen saver/ or wallpaper. 2. Write a mantra that resonates with you about your goal. 3. Say that mantra when you look in the mirror while brushing your teeth. 4. Have it written on your fridge, or goals board. 5. Try a vision board with images of what and why you are working towards better physics and mental health. Any one of the above can keep you present in your why. And help you when the motivation drops a little. Then BOOMCHICKAWAHWAH your back in the game! Any other ideas you can think of to keep you in your why?

12.01.2022 5 TOP TIPS for setting & achieving! We LOVED the Polls we ran over on our Instagram last Thursday. So insightful to learn more about our beautiful Breathe Fam. Thanks for taking part. x. Let's create a little series breaking down the results. can be a great way to feel a sense of achievement. Setting small short term goals [% ] that are achievable, really assist with motivation to keep you on track with some longer term goals.... Motivation is often amazing at the start but then can reduce as time goes on without the support and dedication and thats why so often we struggle to maintain. [ % ] So thats TIP 1: ; Could be; 1. Enquire about starting Pilates; 2. Book your Two Week Trial; 3. Attend at least 3 or 4 classes during your trial; 4. Set a plan for continuing your Pilates....etc. And celebrate those small achievements. At the start it might be just learning how to breathe through movement. Or how to keep more of a neutral spine on the mat or carriage. And try not to forget as you continue to improve where you started and how you have developed over the sessions WHAT short term Pilates or health related goal can you set yourself for this week ahead? 10.01.2022 Xmas SELF CARE guide Navigating this time of year can always be a little tricky...especially with the curve balls 2020 has presented! SO we came up with BREATHE FAM Xmas SELF CARE Guide 1. - stay on top of being the human you want to be, by scheduling small pockets of time for yourself. Do something that is just for you and makes you feel happy. (Pilates is a good one for this!)... 2. ; & - Take a moment when things may be building up & just concentrate on your breath. Take 5-10 very deep, long breaths. Close your eyes and focus on the expansion of the lungs, the movement of the breathe, and calm the mind. 3. ’ - we see it happening this time every year. Classes getting cancelled left right and centre. You need these classes now more than ever so help you through what can be stressful times. 4. - as you get mentally and physically exhausted towards the end of the year, make sure you adapt in your class performance. For example do you need to take an easier spring load, do you need to add more stretch and mobility classes, do you need to regress some exercises so that you can still perform movements well? 5. ! - Remember although we are pretty bloody amazing human beings, we are not miracle makers or possess special powers. There is a limit to capabilities and sometimes we must say NO for self preservation. Ask yourself if it really really matters that you must do everything on your task list today? Could something be delegated, moved, cancelled? 6. - to yourself and others. You never really know what is going on for your fellow humans around you. What challenges they are facing. So let’s all try and be a little understanding, give people the benefit of the doubt, count to 10 if needed & respond outwardly with kindness. Even when looking at yourself in the mirror, try smiling at yourself and telling yourself just one positive thing you like about you or that you are grateful for. 08.01.2022 Next up in our goal tips we have reached..... TIP 4 . At times things will be difficult, at times confidence and motivation might take a dip, there will be mornings you wake up and even when you remind yourself of your WHY, you just wont want to do it. And that is ok!!! ... GUILT is a heavy burden to bare and so what if you missed one workout? The world will continue to spin, maybe you needed the break? Just be kind, forgive and move on. A top tip (within a tip) is try to speak to yourself as you would a best friend. Show yourself the same unconditional love for you are a unique and wonderful being. X

It provides a torso control challenge with endless possibilities. Take Chloe's position here... there is so much going on; Length of spine through toe and crown of head.... Width through shoulders and hips. A coupling of abdominals work with hamstring work. A downward pressure equally through all remain points of contact. A balance of the hips. A spread of the fingers!
