24.01.2022 We cannot fix what we refuse to look at. A classic example is our car - if we don't maintain it and deal with problems as they arise, the car does not run as e...fficiently as it could. As one part starts to create stress on other parts, those parts start to break down also, until such time it requires a major overhaul and greater expense than simple ongoing maintenance. So many of us have parts of our lives that are preventing us from operating our life to our fullest potential and being our authentic selves. And just like the car, until we actually take steps to deal with them, they don't just go away and fix themselves. Our lives need constant basic maintenance to prevent a major breakdown. That could mean using the right fuel (food); keeping it moving (exercise); ensuring the computer (our mind) is fully functioning and clear of viruses (negative thinking); dealing with the dents (bad days/events); or keeping the tyres (stress levels) at the right pressure! But, like so many of us do with our car maintenance, we leave it all until we cannot ignore it any more, and it becomes a major exercise to get fixed. When we do finally lift the hood and look inside, we can often see that the solutions can be simple and straightforward, or may take a bit of extra work, but no matter what, once we have done it, everything works so much better! Isn't it time you opened the shutters of your mind, looked inside, and found the solutions you need to keep moving down the road of your life with more ease and less struggle? www.breathworksa.com.au #openyourmind #selfcare #clearthefog

12.01.2022 As we are now well into Spring, we only have to look around us at the regrowth of nature to realise that life has its seasons also. There are times in our life... where we are in full growth mode - exciting new energy and vitality as we learn and grow. We then have a period of glorious sunshine - basking in our achievements and allowing ourselves to just enjoy it. This is followed by a period of reduced energy, getting quieter, maybe needing a bit of a rest, or maybe a bit of illness to slow us down. We then allow ourselves some 'down-time' to recover. Just sit with ourselves more, just waiting for our next period of growth. And the cycle repeats itself. As Nature goes through its down time in autumn and winter, it does not fret, or panic, because it knows that the Spring will come again in its time. Nature just sits patiently waiting for the right time to bloom again. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that these cycles are normal. We are a part of nature - we come from nature. We can come back out of our winter - when the time is right for us. We don't need to wait for a date on a calendar, because our body will do that for us. Unlike most of nature, we humans do not all operate on the same timeframes. So be patient. Do not compare your Springtime with someone else's - because one day you may be in your Spring when they are in their Winter. Acknowledge, respect and support each other through our own seasons. www.breathworksa.com.au #mentalhealthsupport #selfcare #transformationjourney
