23.01.2022 The challenge is to post a picture of your DOG along with a picture representing their name, so others can guess the name. What do you think the name of mine is? #guessnamedogchallenge... My name is: JIVE

18.01.2022 STORM SEASON ADVICE Guys it’s been a long afternoon today. Storms have been rolling over us repeatedly today so I thought now would be a good time to post ...my annual storm phobia reminder! Storm phobia is a researched and proven distressed state of an animal which can be caused by the noise of thunder and visual stimulus of lightning. Some pets (like Sullivan, pictured) can sense coming storms long before humans can, which means they can go from placid and comfortable to agitated and timid; to downright terrified very quickly. During peak storm season, animals are more likely to cope with a storm if they are in an environment where they feel comfortable. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet during storm season: Create a safe and secure space for all of your animals away from visual stimuli. For dogs a pet crate or quiet room which shields them from lightning is ideal. Sully is a fan of blankets; so for him, being tucked in under a blanket is soothing and creates a safe space for him. Try Feliway (cats) or Adaptil (dogs) collars or diffusers which help calm and reassure your pet in stressful situations. They can be found at most reputable pet supply stores and veterinary clinics. Keep your animals indoors if possible. Don’t tether your pets if they are outside during a storm because this can lead to injury if they panic and try and break free. It is SO INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT that your pet has appropriate identification such as an I.D tag or microchip. The best way to check whether your pet’s microchip is registered and up to date is by contacting your microchip company (there’s a variety in Australia) or if you are unsure which company your animals chips are registered to start by visiting your vet and have them scan your pet. Good luck everyone - this storm season is going to be a cracker #thewetnosemafia #sully #greatdanemix #stormphobia #stormseason #petadvice #goodluck

09.01.2022 EDIT- This gorgeous girl had a meet and greet today- her new owner fell in love with her and she took her home there and then. She had now been renamed as Mary Rose. We have had one of Jive's pups returned to us through no fault of her own - she is 10 months old and has an absolutely gorgeous personality. She has slotted straight into my pack and my mother's pack with no issues. She has had minimal training so you will be starting with a basically blank slate. If you are interested please get in touch.

04.01.2022 Had an enquiry come in last week wanting to know if I bredHoney coloured Border Collies. I replied politely that I sell RED Border Collies and that Honey is the incorrect term for a purebred Red Border Collie - customer informed me that I obviate didn't know what I was talking about and she would buy a Honey coloured pup elsewhere. Please do your due diligence when purchasing a pup and make sure the breeder you are buying from does know their chosen breed properly.

01.01.2022 So true.... which is why we say train them or they become destructive and find their own fun.
