25.01.2022 Another day and another step forward, replaced these stairs today with some that meet legal requirements and are safer for the owners to climb, the old ones had a nasty tripping hazard at the top and were only nailed together and rather rickety, so we rectified that with this beautiful set of tas oak stairs

24.01.2022 Another kitchen renovation and another happy customer, this one was for an elderly lady and her daughter to help them stay in the house longer, renovation included new lighting, new power upgrades as the old power box was dangerous, soft close doors and draws and easy cleaning, the new kitchen opened up an easy path to allow for disability walkers to pass through the space while the kitchen is being used, all up a great result for a small space

23.01.2022 Things have been moving ahead for us at a great pace in the last 12 months so it was time to up date some machinery

22.01.2022 We have been busy the last couple of days to get this job done before the owners get back from holiday, hopefully they love it as much as we have loved creating it

20.01.2022 Spent today fitting out a space that has been void for years, client wanted it filled in but made useful, I think we achieved that

19.01.2022 The latest project we have been working on, I didn’t manage to get any before shots but this kitchen has had a 2 meter return section removed and an island bench put in with a breakfast bar at the back, new pantry and fridge area, extra draws put in place of the old fridge turning this space into a coffee nook and all old hardware changes to soft close, old doors and drawers resprayed in two pack paint to match the new ones, and new overlay floor put right through kitchen and... new dining area, finished off with solid stainless steel toe recess and stainless handles. Some of the old timber bench was salvaged and used in the coffee nook while the rest of the bench tops were made from a diamond gloss stone laminate with waterfall ends on the island bench, the results were a stunning finish and a free flow through from the lounge to the dining without interfering with the cooking space See more

17.01.2022 Spent yesterday installing a pantry unit and overhead cabinet for a lovely couple, units were made to match the existing kitchen and to make best use of the space while accomodating their needs, hope you enjoy it Colin and madg

17.01.2022 Managed to source this beautiful piece of black heart sassafras with live edges for a customer for their new bed head, managed to fit it to the wall with no seen fixings so nothing distracts from the beautiful timber

16.01.2022 Breaking news! We have had a name change from smudges joinery to prime joinery. Kids wanted to help in the workshop today but that help turned out to mean hogging the fire and cooking marshmallows

13.01.2022 Our latest project, client was exactly sure of what she wanted, she had plenty of ideas and a style in mind but some of the ideas just didn’t work together but in the end we got a fantastic result and a very happy client, bench tops will be solid oak to be made by the owner, hopefully some more pics soon of the fully finished job

13.01.2022 Finally managed to get some pictures of the kitchen completed with appliances and splash backs, it has turned out beautifully, a fully functional and elegant space that will serve this awesome family for decades

03.01.2022 Got invited back to a job we did in April to see the final finish with bench-tops and splash backs yesterday (done by owner) We are really happy with how this one came up, it functions like a large kitchen but packs into a small space, thanks to the owner for a lovely afternoon and great job on the tops and tiles

01.01.2022 Just finished this big kitchen for a couple building their forever home, this kitchen features custom coloured two pack doors and stunning timber bench tops, soft close doors and drawers along with a range of storage solutions to suit the customers every need, can’t wait to go back and get some photos of it completed with splash backs and appliances
