25.01.2022 I welcome the Morrison LNP Government’s cost of living assistance in the Budget. Our seniors deserve our thanks and support for what they’ve done for our country.

24.01.2022 REGO REBATE Under the LNP every Queenslander who owns a registered car will receive a $300 Rego Rebate in time for Christmas. That’s $300 straight back into the bank accounts of Queensland drivers for every registered car. The Palaszczuk Labor Government has increased car rego by more than 19%.... Only the LNP has a plan to stimulate the economy and get Queensland working again.

23.01.2022 Out early this morning with plenty of my LNP colleagues for the annual Daniel Morcombe Foundation Walk For Daniel. It’s a day to remember Daniel and refocus our efforts to keep kids safe.

23.01.2022 World Diabetes Day is on 14 November and this year it is about celebrating the crucial role that nurses play in supporting people living with diabetes. As the number of people with diabetes in Australia continues to increase, the role of nurses is becoming increasingly important in helping to manage the impact of the condition. Nurses are often the first health professional that a person with diabetes interacts with. They can be the difference between someone letting their d...iabetes control them or learning how to manage it so they live a long and healthy life with the condition. 22.01.2022 Great to join with Jarrod Bleijie MP to announce some key commitments for Palmview residents, which a Deb Frecklington LNP Government will deliver: Fast track a new high school for Palmview to open in January 2022 CCTV to assist Police crack down on local crime and hooning... Establishment of public bus services in Harmony as a priority

20.01.2022 Many of us will remember the Slip Slop Slap jingle that first made an appearance in the 80s. We still have the same sun as we did back then, so the message is still just as important today as it was then! This week is National Skin Cancer Action Week, and as we head into summer it is a timely reminder to Slip Slop Slap (& Seek and Slide) when outdoors.... For more information on how to protect yourself from skin damage and skin cancer, visit, https://cancerqld.org.au/cancer-prevention/sun-protection/

20.01.2022 I'm supporting the Morrison LNP Government's lower taxes for working for Australians. They will help get Queensland working again.

20.01.2022 Queenslanders shouldn't have to think twice about starting a family, worried they won't be able to afford to raise kids. The LNP has a plan to lower the cost of living and create jobs.

20.01.2022 This week I was in Parliament, advocating on your behalf on a the following issues: I voted to support new laws banning most single-use plastics which will come into effect in September. I also voted to allow craft brewers and artisan distillers to sell their products takeaway and online.... I asked the Minister for Education to build the new Palmview State High School so it’s ready to open in January 2022. I asked the Minister for Fire and Emergency Services where the Sippy Downs Fire Station is planned to be built given the State Government is selling land set aside for a fire station. I called on the State Government to do more to support regions like Cairns and the Whitsunday’s, which have been disproportionately affected by reduced tourism visitors. The LNP urged the Government to take action to address the housing crisis we are facing, by building affordable infrastructure, while protecting the Queensland lifestyle. I asked the Sunshine Coast Council and Queensland Health to be more proactive enforcing existing littering and smoking rules because neither have been doing sufficient to reduce the impact of littering in parks and other public spaces across the Sunshine Coast. I held the Government to account on their policy to abolish the Australian Building & Construction Commission, which has recovered over $600,000 in wages and entitlements for 579 Queensland employees since 2016.

19.01.2022 Along with David Crisafulli MP today I continued to advocate for the State Government to deliver the new Palmview State High School so it’s ready to open in January 2022, not 2023 as it’s currently planned. Local parents and students deserve better than the Minister for Education’s dismissive response to this important issue. I’ll keep fighting so Palmview kids aren’t forced to attend 3 schools in 3 years, just because the State Government can’t get on with the job of delivering a school they have already committed to building.

19.01.2022 The LNP will ban the export of waste because our waste is our responsibility. The LNP will invest in recycling, which will also create 10,000 jobs.

18.01.2022 Perfect weather to catch-up with lots of locals in Buderim.

18.01.2022 Farming communities dealing with drought deserve all the help we can give them and this financial assistance will make a big difference. The LNP will help drought-proof a large part of QLD by building the New Bradfield Scheme. It will be built and owned by Queenslanders.

17.01.2022 A nice early start to setup at Fishermans Road Markets. Drop in and say g’day.

16.01.2022 A big morning out and about in Mountain Creek with my legion of motivated LNP volunteers. Lots of support from locals who are keen to see a change of government on 31 October.

15.01.2022 The election has just been called. The decisions made by the next government will determine if Queensland recovers from this economic crisis. To secure Queensla...nd’s economy, Deb Frecklington MP and the LNP team have a clear and costed plan to create more jobs right across the state. When Queensland is building, Queenslanders are working. See more

14.01.2022 Applications are now open for the 2021 Community Road Safety Grants. The grants provide an opportunity for not-for-profit organisations including schools, parents and citizens and parents and friends' groups, local governments and community groups who have an idea about how to educate their local community in solving a road safety issue. This year the grants offer up to $20,000 to fund short-term, small scale road safety education and awareness initiatives across local Queens...land communities. 13.01.2022 RECYCLING ANNOUNCEMENT An LNP Government will: Open a solar panel recycling facility in South-East Queensland and stop tens of thousands of tonnes of solar panels from going into landfill... Work with councils and invest $50 million to build new roads from recycled plastics and beer bottles Stop valuable resources in electronic waste from going into landfill Building roads from recycled plastics and beer bottles has been successfully trialled and 1 kilometre of road can make use of 500,000 plastic bags and 150,000 beer bottles, which could otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. We’ll also establish recycling centres of excellence at Queensland universities and fast-track planning approvals for new and better recycling infrastructure.

11.01.2022 And the winner for the most creative corflute addition goes to these two. A much better effort than the usual moustaches that have been penciled on. I think whoever did these two must have mistaken me for Jarrod Bleijie MP.

09.01.2022 Under the LNP every Queenslander who owns a registered car will receive a $300 Rego Rebate before Christmas. Every dollar counts right now, so this will be big budget boost for lots of Queenslanders.

08.01.2022 A Queensland Police Service message: Hi my name is Sandy Atkinson and I am an Acting Sergeant from Queensland Police. I’m here to ask for your help and support for National Road Safety Week 16 - 22 November. Remember always drive so others survive. ... Please take the pledge that you will : 1 Slow down and give emergency vehicles and people the space they need to be safe 2 Not put other people at risk by speeding especially around schools 3 Not put other people at risk by driving when you are too tired, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs 4 Not put other people at risk by using a mobile phone whilst driving 5 Always drive safely to make sure that we all get home to our loved ones

07.01.2022 If you are going to watch one video this election watch this one.

06.01.2022 The Morrison LNP Government is investing in Australia’s future by investing in apprentices. In Queensland we need the right balance of traditional trades and new emerging industries like space and defence manufacturing.

05.01.2022 In my new role as Shadow Minister for Employment, Small Business and Training I am looking forward to getting out around Queensland listening to business owners, employees, local Chambers of Commerce, trainees and training organisations to hear their thoughts on how to improve things. Small business is the backbone of the Queensland economy and with unemployment in Queensland the highest in the nation, we’ve simply got to do better. CCIQ... 04.01.2022 Things are pretty quiet here in Buderim if you are looking for a quiet time to vote!

03.01.2022 The Morrison LNP Government is investing billions of dollars in Australian roads, creating jobs and building for the future. We have the same ambition to create jobs and get people home sooner and safer in QLD.

03.01.2022 With 3 kids myself, I know how important before and after school care is for many families. An LNP Government will deliver more affordable and more accessible before and after school care. 30,000 extra before and after school care places $60 million to expand and upgrade playground and school facilities... Free or subsidised training for at least 10,000 workers.

01.01.2022 The LNP have already stated there will be no new taxes, so that Queenslanders have certainty to invest and create jobs. Today we go one better and announce that we will scrap Labor’s Grey Nomad Tax in our first budget. This is about allowing Queenslanders to enjoy their retirement, drive tourism and deliver more local manufacturing jobs as well.

01.01.2022 Yesterday the LNP appointed a new leadership team led by David Crisafulli. A team with a constructive approach and a drive to win government in 2024. Over coming weeks and months you will get to learn more. I have had the privilege of working closely with David over the last 3 years as his Shadow Assistant Minister, so I know he has the character and capacity to be an exceptional Premier. I look forward to working as a part of David’s team as we articulate our vision to take Queensland forward.

01.01.2022 Despite the rain, lots of Buderim Mountain State School students participated in Buderim Lions Walk To School this morning. My little umbrella didn’t really cut it, but Lara had a great time catching up with the selfless Buderim Lions volunteers and Queensland Police Service officers.
