20.01.2022 welcome the evolution of '3 tails' the semi-fictional martial art of Ubby's Underdogs. I've been a wrestling/grappling enthusiast my whole life despite coming from a family of boxers. every continent is littered with customs, festivities, schools and legendary tales of wrestling and grappling. what started off as a small side idea has now grown into a legit syllabus that i am constantly developing thanks to the wider world of traditional wrestling. on this page i'll be posting notes, theories and hypothesis that will always be open for debate. its just a temporary page but i encourage all combat enthusiast to explore the page and i hope you find something worthy to discuss as i look forward to also being enlighten.

15.01.2022 today's Monster (more like a hero) not an entirely made up sketch. the whole point of my monster sketches is that i don't know what i draw, i have to make it up... as pencil hits paper. but this scribble took the shape of a character i made already and fell in love with 'Munki Hanzo' my ninja monkey, the greatest ninja in the world based on a real life ninja who was raised by monkeys. 13.01.2022 today's monster (from a few days ago) the evolution of the alien sleeper cells. its like an egg that has legs and telekinetic abilities while it incubates a new body.

12.01.2022 although i don't advertise it much, I've had the honour of being a graphic facilitator for a lot of Indigenous & kimberley organisations at AGMS, conferences, and meetings/consultations. to be honest for me its mentally brutal! it may share the skill set of an artist but i feel its a whole different part of my brain. none the less the outcome is always rewarding to me as well as my client. because of the sensitive nature of some of the information that is relayed to me throughout the recording i can't post most of the work I've don't but this recording i ddi for the UFPA was my very first in 2013 and its content is no only open for viewing but its also a great example of how creative and forward moving an organisation is will ing to be to benefit its members and its community.

11.01.2022 Getting to know Mandrake the magician and his backstory. Absolutely incredible character!! Sooo looking forward to working on young mandrake. Have been dabbling a few loose sketches and had the thought of my own renditioning of some classic mandrake pics

07.01.2022 What an awesome podcast. Thank you for having me on the show Nat!

07.01.2022 To those few who said a fictional field guide full of hybrid fictional creatures in the Kimberleys or anywhere would be a bad idea, I want to tell you 2 things:... 1. This is an awesome book with Incredible artwork & brilliant tales you can tell around the camp fire. 2. If you don’t play the game, don’t make up the rules i got to stop listening to people who don’t read or create books. Over the years I created an encyclopedia full of fictional creatures for Ubby’s Underdogs some are in the books, some will be in future books. But the best way to get aqauinted with these majestic critters would be a ‘How to catch crypto-critters: Field Guide to the mysterious pearl coast. Not asking to crowd fund or anything, but Could we see a show of hands who MIGHT be interested in crypto’hunting on the pearl coast??? See more

02.01.2022 In all my years as a graphic novelist there have been so many hard times, so many desperate and bad choices made. So many times I wanted to quit. There’s a thin... line between courage and stupidity and somehow I managed to march that line to where I am today. And Today! I am truly honored to have been invited and formally appointed as a director on the board of the AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY OF AUTHORS (ASA) To everyone that has ever picked up one of my books, mentioned my name to someone or simply held me in high esteem and supported me, I can’t thank you enough. 02.01.2022 Been asked a few times already and just to confirm ‘YES I do have some bad news!! even though I finished book 3 in September 2017 unfortunately book 3 won’t be ...released until may 2019! And that’s if everything goes well. It’s just the more people asked me the more berserk I’m gonna get. Everything happens for reason, I am finding time for other things in life but as the days go by I realize those things are also reminding me how much I put into this book and what I did to get this far. It’s going to be a long wait sorry everyone. My apologies to everyone that helped me get this far and an incredibly huge apology to my family especially my wife for all the stress I crammed into our lives. Those kids who first read Ubbys Underdogs back in 2011 are well and truly pass secondary school so the best I can hope for is to reach a whole new generation of kids with a taste for adventure in the north west. At least they will have the whole trilogy at their finger tips this time around. See more
