10.01.2022 Tag and share to all your tradie mates. Glenn Patterson Robert Bomber Adams COVID-19 & TRADIES (Make sure you're essential!)... I got pulled over today by a police officer. I was doing the speed limit, driving normally, car is registered and roadworthy... maybe a random check I thought? Police: "Good morning mate, any valid reason that you're out and about with the current lockdown laws?" Me being extremely polite: "Yes sir, I'm on my way to work." Police: "Do you have any evidence to prove this? You're aware there is a big fine for those who can't?" I was stunned, here I am, in my work clothes, my van is marked almost as much as this cop's car is, and he's asking me for proof, wtf!? Me: "Sir, I'm in my work clothes and in my work vehicle." Police: "No need to be a smart ass mate, what do you do for work that makes you essential? Are you a tradie?" Me: "Yes sir, I'm a painter." Police: "Sorry mate, everyone knows painting is not a trade. I'm going to have to ask you to hand over your licence and step out of the car." Gets me out the car and bends me over the bonnet and puts me in hand cuffs, then puts his baton into my backside. Then he asks me: "Do you know what this is?" I said "Yes, my best friend is a sparkie."
