22.01.2022 Hi, I’ve had a change of plans for Sunday and there will be no morning park session this upcoming Sunday. With the Sunday after the 16th of August I am away so again no session. See you on the 23rd of August for the next one. Brett.

21.01.2022 Just remember, not every workout is about getting your heart rate up above 80% or more. It all depends on what exercises, weights, rep ranges and tempos you are using, based around your personal goals. These last two workouts were tough for various reasons, and you will see I only hit above 80% (yellow and red areas), when I was hammering it out on the new Power Tower at the gym. Saturday- Deadlifts working up in weight down in reps. Dead hangs superset elbow planks.... 10x Hex bar deads then farmers walk them turn and do 10x Hex deads then farmers walk back then thrash out 60 steps on the Power Tower. Sunday- Chest, back, rear and side delt supersets using various rep ranges and focusing on strength and hypertrophy and also mind muscle connection and controlled reps. Getting it done on the weekend and feeling great!

20.01.2022 Snap Fitness October 2020 Mental Health Challenge What better way to welcome in the newly modernized Snap Fitness Burdekin than dive into this good little 28 day challenge commencing Thursday October the 1st. A great way to get back into things both physically and mentally if you have not been to the gym for a week or two with it being renovated, or a great way to get your health and fitness journey started. You will feel the immense benefits both physically and mentally of... exercise! Set yourself a little goal. It could be to form a new exercise and/or eating habit, get yourself into a good and positive headspace and frame of mine, lose say 2kgs, or try a different form of exercise (ie more weight training focus and less cardio). If you require that extra help and motivation for the challenge, please message me for Personal Training that I offer. I’m also looking at doing something with any challengers interested at say 5.30am Saturday mornings (Inkerman Hill and/or something in the gym)! A few challenge details: Cost $45 MyZone Belts are only $45 (save $15) One lucky person (Snap nation wide) to receive $1,500! 28 day Snap Challenge App with workouts, recipes etc Group challenges and catch ups Local prizes and end of challenge breakup To sign up go into the gym today or tomorrow, or go online at https://snapnation.com.au/charity-challenge Please message either myself or go see Yvette at the gym if you are after any more details. 18.01.2022 What an amazing effort by Yvette and the team modernizing the gym over the past week! The gym is back open 24/7 right now! I have not been able to be part of the reno team due to having my feet up and taking it easy over the past week and a bit after my ‘no more Butler kids’ surgery. 03.01.2022 Sunday started strong! A few more weights thrown in today’s session!

03.01.2022 I practice what I preach: - Consistency (it is easy to get out of bed when I do when I love working out) - Weight Training (but I do enjoy a good session on the stairmaster - funny thing is I find it helps clear my mind!) - Train with Intensity and Focus (but also training smarter as I get older) - Everything in moderation (yes I enjoyed my ice cream last night)... Find what works for you to achieve all of these, in an environment you are comfortable in. See more
