16.01.2022 To all our valued and beloved customers: We will remain open unless and until such time as we are instructed to close by authorities. The main reason for that is that we help reduce the load on GPs and Emergency Departments by screening people who have sudden loss of vision, foreign bodies embedded in the eye and similar cases. We also fill out the vision section for RMS driver's licence renewals for people like truck drivers who are required to submit one. With the number of... people we usually have in the practice at any one time, it's not difficult to comply with physical distancing requirements. All staff are wearing masks and we're handwashing after each and every customer interaction. If you need us, we're here. If this crisis means we go out of business, may I say it's been a pleasure to have been involved with the Camden community these past 20 years. I mean that sincerely. I've never worked in a more relaxed, friendly community as this. Without you, we don't exist as a business, so PLEASE - take this seriously!! We want you to still be here after all this. 05.01.2022 Hi folks - 3:40pm Tuesday 22nd January and we're sitting here in the dark with no power and no aircon. Blackout started about 3:15pm and we've read on another FB site that it might not come back on until 5:30pm. If you were planning on coming in to collect specs, contact lenses or sunnies and it's not urgent, maybe hold off until tomorrow because we have no EFTPOS, computer or phone operating. Apologies!
