25.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW... The average espresso can contain up to 80 single coffee beans. I was going to work out how many beans are in a kilo of coffee but decided to have a coffee instead...hmmmm coffee.

08.01.2022 WE HAVE SOME ADVICE TO HELP YOU GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR OFFICE POD MACHINE? There are many different machines to suit almost any application. Some machines are very basic and others are very sophisticated. Unfortunately with so much out there a lot of people end up choosing the wrong machine for the wrong application or aren't educated on how use their machines properly. If given the task to find the cheapest coffee machine most people immediately choose the supermarket pod... machine or equivalent. Now these machines usually start from around $50(which is a great price for a simple coffee machine) but then you pay for the brand specific packs/boxes of pods. This is where you generally are paying to much, up to $1.00 per pod. If you were to convert your pod costs to how much you are paying per kilo of coffee you could be paying up to $80 or more per kilo. These machines aren't designed for the office but for the home kitchen. They mostly produce a simple black styled coffee and usually breakdown because of cheap manufacturing/over use. They are best suited for people that don't drink a lot of coffee because you can store the unused pods for up to 2 years. This is were your higher price per kilo of coffee is valuable because your paying for convenience. Interestingly most people that use these machines are using them incorrectly. We often see people pushing the manual button to fill up their mugs and then add a dash of milk(much like the instant process). This process puts too much water through the pod which burns and waters down your shot. All pods hold specific amounts of coffee which can produce a certain amount of high flavored coffee usually 30-90mls but best around 60mls. If you want a better tasting coffee fill your cup with hot water from your kettle (not boiling) first then add your pod shot then milk. This will ensure your coffee doesn't burn and the rich flavours are saved. However you and your staff are very busy and you may not have time to pay that much attention to you coffee. SO..... Choosing the wrong machine can lead to extra servicing cost for over used machines to money down the drain for under used machines.
